Pros:
This course used to be good - last year it was flooded but mostly playable.
The surrounding scenery is beautiful.
Cons:
This year is a different story. It is WAY overgrown with weeds (even growing through one basket). The tees are mostly possible to find but we spent 20 minutes looking for #9 tee before giving up. Some of the baskets are visible from the tees but many are obscured by weeds (some taller than me). You may need a guide to find the baskets from the tees.
The club maintaining this course should be ashamed.
The food at the restaurant at the adjoining resort is mediocre.
Other Thoughts:
Could be much improved by an annual mid-summer mowing. This could be an easy job since the area is pretty flat flood plain. The signage could be improved by letting a player know where the next tee is located.
I will not spend the time to travel a 44 mile road to play this course. The scenery is beautiful but the course is not worth the drive
