This is a good course if you happen to be in the Gateway Canyon area. The area is very nice and you get some great views of the surrounding mesas walking the course. It's pretty far out there and secluded so you're in for a nice calm round. The course is easy to find and a sign lets you know you are at the course. All tee pads are a strip of rubber that seemed to worked well for my drives and the targets are top notch DGA baskets. Great signage for each hole and directions to the next. Holes range from short(200ft) to long(500ft) and play by, but not too close to, the Dolores River. A few holes are longer and some require mandos between trees. A nice selection of shots are required to play this course well, but you won't be intimidated. A round here can be played rather quickly with the layout. I hear you can camp behind the course which is a plus if you are in camping mode and stopping through.

Although many holes require a few trees to dodge, making them interesting, the course is pretty open and there aren't any elevation changes. A few holes are too short and easy. There aren't any facilities at this course, so bring water, as it can get hot in the summer. Watch your disc at all times, the grass and brush gets thick in the summer.

This course might be underplayed because of its location. I enjoyed playing here on a trip back from Utah. It was relaxing and the round went smoothly.
