Short, Quick, Fun Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 18, 2016 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

-You can knock out a quick 9 holes in less than 25 minutes
-Nice park in a nice little neighborhood
-Bathrooms and a good amount of grass
-Doesn't criss-cross walking paths
-Not very busy
-No obstacles to pushing a stroller. The kids enjoy it.

Cons:

-Not a terribly exciting design, but a good use of the space provided

Other Thoughts:

-Short. Only 1 hole over 300 feet, and it's straight uphill, so it plays a lot longer.
-Nothing noteworthy, but definitely worth playing if you're a local. Could knock out a quick 9 holes at lunch.

Most Played Local Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jan 24, 2011 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

-Great location to downtown Greenville and why i play it so often on my breaks from work.
-Excellent variety of shots from the tee. just about everyshot can be used in a drive.
-quick play time and generally someone around you can play with if you're lacking a buddy that day
-a great 'practice' course where you shouldnt get in the way of bigger more competitive groups.

Cons:

-can be very confusing your first time out with no map and tee pads sometime being far from the last pin (5,6&7)
-some tee pads are short but it is nice theyre concrete for such a small park.
-a couple fairways are squeezed together and you can bomb someone approaching from another hole

Other Thoughts:

-Needs a map at the start, and some work to the tee signs.
-wish #9's tee pad pointed at the basket.

Cute little niner 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 30, 2010 Played the course:once

Pros:

Concrete tee pads
Monster variety for a nine holer
Short, fun holes
Quiet, peaceful park
A couple good ace runs
Quick rounds
Good hyzer/anhyzer/sidearm practice

Cons:

Some signs missing
Several fairways very close to each other (2&9), (6&7&8) so if there are several groups playing you will need to wait.

Other Thoughts:

A pretty little course in a nice neighborhood park that features 2 tennis courts, a playground, a baseball field, a pavillion and the course so there is not a lot of traffic.

Hole 1 plays real close to the road with a guardian tree on the right side approach and a line of trees along the fence on the left approach...throwing relatively long and straight or a big sweeping hyzer is necessary.

2 and 5 are ace runs with some fun obstacles and if you play sidewalks as OB then #2 has some added challenge.

There are a couple longer uphill runs a couple holes with mandos, and some nice wooded areas that aren't tight nor are they open.

This is the kind of park you wish you had outside your office or across the street from your house because you could run out and play 9 in about 30 minutes and actually feel like you accomplished something.

The holes are short and there are a lot of birdie and even ace opportunities but they are not gimmees. Even experienced players will get some pars but even the best will have a good time.

If you live in Greenville this is a great place to warm up or cool down.

Holmes 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jan 3, 2001 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

A very nice and well maintained 9 hole course. Its a little short but once you play it two or three times, you get to like it more.

Cons:

9 holes and not 18 is the only thing bad that i can say about Holmes

Other Thoughts:

Be carefull and watch out for children playing on the playground that lies in the middle of the park
