lots of long throws really gets you to test your accuracy at distance shots holes were easy to spot on almost every hole.

Direction to the next tee would have been useful in some areas.

Other Thoughts:

good course ill play it when ever im in the area for sure.

Lincoln Links 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Feb 22, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

- Lincoln Ridge starts off in an unassuming manner. Park-style open grassy expanse playing slightly downhill to a pin just tucked into the edge of a small patch of woods. While the front nine does end up bringing some technical wooded golf into play, the real fun doesn't start until the back nine.
- Great use of elevation. #'s 14, 15, and 16 play down, and then along a pretty massive drop off down into a stream. Those agile enough to get down to the stream are faced with quite daunting shots back up. Where elevation is not quite as massive, it still comes into play very nicely and is used to its utmost effect.
- Water hazards. They're all fair; there aren't any water carries to worry about, but the risk of getting wet on errant shots is very very real. Again, #'s 14, 15 and 16 are the standout holes in this regard.
- Good amenities. Signage, next tee markers, tee pads, and baskets are all in fine shape. Dual tees on #'s 10, 16, 19, and 21 ease the difficulty for beginners while keeping difficult shots in place for more experienced ones.
- Mandos used to good effect. #16's green is protected by a tricky mando, and #8 has a double mando (if I remember correctly) forcing a tight run at the basket while taking away an easy hyzer route.

Cons:

- The biggest drawback to Lincoln Ridge is the proximity of some holes to others. While nothing really overlaps, per se, there are definitely lots of opportunities for errant drives to land on other holes. The cluster of holes on the front nine (e.g., #'s 1, 2, and 9) is definitely the worst part of the design from a safety and course flow standpoint.
- The ridge holes definitely will not be easily traversed by those with mobility issues. I'm a fairly young, fit, mobile adult male used to adventure golf and still thought I was gonna bust my ass getting to the bottom.

Other Thoughts:

- While not an objective criteria of course review, the fun factor at Lincoln Ridge is off the charts. Lesser players (such as myself) can still shoot decent rounds while being challenged throughout. More advanced players can certainly find lots of trouble if not totally on their game. The course does an outstanding design of being accessible to newer players while catering to those that have been around the block. Nothing gets crazy difficult, but there definitely aren't any holes you can relax on, either. A perfect warm-up course prior to Idlewild, but able to stand tall on its own merit fo' sho'.
- During my round, an animal control officer was sitting in the lot waiting to nab people for having their dog off leash. Beware if you choose to let your pet run free.

BEAUTIFUL COURSE! 2+ years

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:May 25, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

Maintenance - This place was in great shape.

Shot Variety - Everything from Water, Elevation, distance
Tee Signs/Teepads - I think a few of the teesigns were missing, but have cement Teepads.

Beauty - The holes in the back 14-16 are some of the best looking wholes with the creek behind it (although can be dangerous for some)

Cons:

Some of the holes in the back could be fairly dangerous from the creek.

the lack of 500+ holes could be a con for some however not for me.

Other Thoughts:

Honestly, This makes my top 3 courses. It's very fun, and a great course to give you some pride without being too easy.

I honestly think the only reason I don't give this a 5 is because of how close it is to Idlewild. Personally I enjoy this course more than Idlewild, but Idlewild is the top course in over all golf.

Hole 15 is one of the best looking holes I have seen(late spring when I saw it)

I played with people who showed me around, so I noticed some people saying it was hard to find your way around, but I didn't notice that at all.

Very Close to Idlewild, it seems these two are a must play combo.

One of the most fun courses in D. Golf 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Aug 23, 2018 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Fun factor five . A blast for the pro...not too scary and even fun for a beginner .

Beautiful park, well maintained, Interesting topography woods and creek that is well utilized.
Nice pads, Chainstar baskets.
Easy to follow for the most part intuitive. 5 and 6 aren't. There should be a simple arrow or sign pointing to them. Without a map or noticing other golfers head that way you simply miss those holes.

Nice mix of open holes and woods holes which all can be dueced by an advanced player. However ample opportunities present themselves for you to go astray and pay a fee in strokes and energy.
The back nine has many great and challengIng holes starting with # 14. A short downhill shot through the woods with a tough pin placement to stick a shot. Love this hole.

One of my very favorite courses and in my opinion one of the best in the known universe. A must play if you are in the area. (Idlewild is about 30min away as well)

Cons:

Can't really think of many. I suppose that if it is really wet out it could be a bit muddy on some of the woods holes.

There is a fair amount of walking and the last 5 holes bring you up a fairly good sized hill so if you are not healthy or if you are impaired physically this may wear you out a bit. (but I like the hills).

This course is fairly popular in the area so sometimes there can be lots of other golfers out. But, thats the way it can be at the areas most fun course...

Other Thoughts:

Love this course!
I'm lucky enough to know two of the designers. The late Doug Aulick and also DGhall of famer Fred Salaz. Two very fine men who helped grow this sport we love. I remember when Doug startled me on hole 16 by tomahawking over the trees quite unexpectedly, parking his disc 5' from the pin. He used many "unorthodox" throws that taught me to see the game differently.
I can't say enough good things about Fred Salaz. He has given so much to the disc golf community and besides that he is a kind decent man.

In my personal rating of a course I include a Fun factor score.
That feeling of Wow cool! That you get at the best holes the first time you play them are some of the ultimate golf moments and hard to communicate in a course description.

When you stand in the box on a well conceived scenic hole and smile thats what I mean. Some holes shine.
Several do here.

Great job by the park in caring for it.
More courses should be like this one.

On a good day a good golfer can shoot a 40 ( I've seen a 37 on 18h ) but could also shoot just a 52 if you are off a bit. I have witnessed players low scores on the front nine go brutally south on the back nine many, many a time...

I'm happy to say I have played this course hundreds of times.

One of my favorite disc moments was on hole One in the early morning fog during the final ace fund round of the year when I watched my bright orange red Roc Fly in a smooth sweet line to the basket and hit and stick winning me 250 and that feeling I love when I make the throw I am trying to do... you all know what I mean...

Great job boys on bringing us this great course.

Really good course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 17, 2012 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Lincoln Ridge is a nice park with a good course. It has all the shots, short and long, left and right, wooded and open, up and down. It also required a less spoken trait which is touch. On hole 14 if you're long you're done and even if your short you better not let it get on it's side. It has all the maintenance right, good teepads, good signs, good baskets, practice baskets, personally i found the teepads pretty easily and there were some people saying that was a problem. This was an all around great course.

Cons:

There is just something that separates really good courses from great courses and this just didn't quite make it there. I played Idlewild the same day I played here and there was just something about it that I can't tell that made Idlewild better, that's why I couldn't give this a 5.

Other Thoughts:

Lincoln Ridge Park was a great course that I really wish wasn't 4 hours away. I've played it twice and still don't feel like I've gotten it's experience in full, I think the more I play it the better it will get. (it felt better the 2nd time) I would wait and play it again before reviewing to get the full experience but I doubt I'll ever get the chance to play there again. But if I'm ever back in Northern KY I know where I'll be heading.

Everything I expected 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Oct 27, 2012 Played the course:once

Pros:

-Great variety of shots. Some long, some short, uphill, downhill, tunnels, open bombers, you name it.
-Approachable for newbies, and a challenge for experienced players. I played for the first time with my young inexperienced cousin, and my brother of similar experience as myself (10+ years). We all had a great time.
-Multiple static pin placements are great. Play to one basket, go back to the tee (as long as it's open, of course) and play to the other!
-Makes excellent use of the land. The holes spread out all around, and make use of the hills and creek to give some wonderful views from the tees.
-Beautiful scenery all the way from Turkeyfoot Rd. to the 24th basket. Even better in the fall.

Cons:

-Lack of "next tee" signs make first time navigation a bit tricky without a guide. Luckily, the course map in the media files on an iPad solved that.
-One hole was missing a tee sign.
-24 holes? Why not 36!

Other Thoughts:

Wonderful course. From the first tee off to the final putt, I had a smile on my face. The creek holes were picturesque, even when I managed to hit a tree and wound up in said creek. Very playable for all skill levels. Great shots are rewarded, and short shots are usually in 'ok' shape. Get off the path, and you'll be forced to pull off small miracles to make par. Loved every minute, will return.

Picturesque in Northern KY 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Oct 21, 2012 Played the course:once

Pros:

-good signage at each hole, all intact as of this review except for one
-some holes have multiple tee pads and basket locations
-undergrowth is limited so discs aren't tough to find
-water features, elevation changes, and woods add challenge and interest
-benches and garbage cans on just about all the holes
-excellent use of space with 24 interesting holes

Cons:

-can be muddy around the creek, but this is only a problem if you make a bad shot, and is to be expected
-depending on how much energy you have, 24 holes of elevation change can be tiring
-no next tee signs, can be somewhat confusing
-despite 2 ponds on this course, neither is really a risk unless you make a pretty terrible shot, they could be incorporated better

Other Thoughts:

This is very picturesque course, especially in the fall with the leaves changing. The creek running through the course adds some challenge, and while none of the holes are impossible many are quite challenging and force you to make the right shot. This is a good intermediate course that allows some forgiveness but still requires some skill. It's a lot of fun and has tons of elevation change- bring your hiking boots. It probably gets overlooked with Idlewild just a few miles away but this is a very respectable course in its own right. It's definitely one worth playing. If it's your first (or second) time, I strongly recommend bringing a map, navigation can be difficult.

Grains of sand tickle my nose 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 24, 2011 Played the course:once

Pros:

Personal Rank: 109

Good solid fun without being overly challenging or punishing. Nearly every hole is deuceable, but that doesn't mean it's easy - hit your line and you will be rewarded, miss your line and you might have a look at a par save. Use of elevation and heavily wooded areas with some thick rough make for a fun variety of shots that makes this course enjoyable many times through. I definitely enjoy a round at Lincoln Ridge as a great compliment to its neighbor, Idlewild and the other Cincy courses makes for a great destination area.

I highly recommend this area and this course for anybody traveling by or looking for a weekend destination area of great disc golf.

Other Thoughts:

After playing 1000 courses, I'm excited to share my opinion on some of my favorites. My top 100+ list can be found on my blog, my favorites list is at 110 of 1020 as of writing this review. Of all courses played, the top 1.5% receive a rating of 5, down to 6% is a 4.5, and 15% is a 4.0 creating a bell curve distribution. I apologize that my reviews are not as detailed as they have been previously. I have included the details as to why this course stands out to the best that my memory serves.

My personal criteria is very subjective, a gut feeling:
~Physical beauty stands out, both scenery and the beauty of each hole.
~Amenities don't mean much to me, it doesn't much matter if there's benches, concrete tee pads, or garbage cans.
~Technical design - How well designed are the fairways/airways and landing areas? Are there unique holes that stand out? Variety of holes - distances, shapes, elevation, tree density, rough thickness. Pars 4 and 5?
~I love extreme/adventure golf. Rugged and secluded courses stand out more than park style courses. In general I prefer more technical over more open.
~Local Scene. If I was involved in a tournament or league or met up with some locals and played the course multiple times I appreciate different aspects of a course.

Thank you, enjoy my reviews and if you don't find this information helpful, please let me know what I can do to improve.

Lincoln Ridge - Another Cinci Gem!!! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Oct 9, 2012 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

We had driven 10 hrs from Mpls/St Paul the day before to tackle some of the Cinci area courses and I knew this one should not be missed! I had played this course a year earlier on a road trip but it was raining and I couldnt get the full enjoyment out of the course. This time it was perfect, 65 degress, sunny, light wind and nobody on the course! Do the locals not know whats in their back yard!

Fairways: were in great shape and well maintained, looks like they had plenty of watering as they were still lush green as of Oct 9. The mowers were just coming through (a huge area to mow may I mention) making the course look pristine.

Rough: at Lincoln Ridge was well placed and usually managable. Many holes have dense woods risk, drop off risks a few water risks towards the end. Not knowing the course and no locals being around meant that we sent one guy ahead to spot on many of the holes to ensure a round that didnt break 4 hrs.. Many holes will gobble up your discs if you are a first timer or dont have a spotter.

Elevation Variety: was phenomenal. The coures starts off with two long downhill heiser shots. Penty of space to bomb it without risk however the approachs go into the woods slightly. From there the elevation goes down into a valley and along side some of the ridges. A nice river/stream flows at the bottom with nice rock ridges and small drops. Cool scenery and good photo ops here. The course has plenty of uphill hikes and shots that require accuracy and patience. No doubt a few shots are going to take a long roll downhill. Playing during the fall makes loosing a disc under some debris/leaves a scary reality, but thats the risk we take to play this game.

Length: was just about right. Took two of us about 3 hours. Not too long that you're throwing your arm out of socket every hole and needing 4 bottles of water to get through the hike. But dont get me wrong, there are plenty of difficult holes here that requre strength and good placement. The course is just about right if you want a good workout, challenge and mix of holes and still have some energy for another round.

Use of Water: towards the end of the course the holes encircle a small pond. The placements when I was there were in places where the water posed absolutely no risk which was a bit dissappointing. There is also a small far pond on 16 and 17. And the little stream running through the mddle of the course but doesnt pose any "loss" risk.

Course Beauty: is fantastic. Set among rolling hills in the countryside outside Cincinatti. The course meanders through and around a small forest on the grouds of a well maintained public park. No trash to be seen, plenty of cans, and wonderfully maintained.

Overall: Phenomenal design with pin placements that are simply FUN. The course requires an arsenal of shots to score well. This is a must visit if you are in the Cincinatti area (along with Idlewild and Mt Airy). Fantastic course that is now in my top 10 played. Cant wait to come back.

Signs: Fairly well maintained and well marked. Lengths do not match the scorecards in all cases. Pars seemed to be a bit off on some holes. We played them all 3 for simplicity and increased challenge.

Tees: concrete and in good shape.

Ease of Navigation: Simple layout that is relatively easy to follow. A map and simply directions make navigation a bit easier but they arent mandatory.

Lost Disc Potential: Moderate

Other: Free!

Cons:

Hardly a thing!

The water on the "water holes" unfortunately do not pose much if any risk of disc loss. Was hoping to have my heart beating faster when I stepped on the teepad for the water holes... But they still look cool.

Beautiful, Fun, and Hilly 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 5, 2012 Played the course:once

Pros:

excellent mix of terrain
*great elevation changes
*course situated away from other park activities
*found the course easy to navigate with map
* great concrete tee pads with signs
*local player helped find TWO of my discs
*beautiful creek holes
*lots of fun to play holes and shots
*well maintained
*cute bridges and benches throughout

Cons:

*Longest hole is only 516
*Only 1 hole besides longest is over 400
*While holes 14-16 by the creek are scenic and can be very fun to play because of the gorge they can also be dangerous and easy to fall on
*the elevation on other holes can make it very difficult disc diving should you go into some brush on a hill
*only a couple holes with multiple tees
*the extension holes could use more variety

Other Thoughts:

Some of the steep parts are super fun just walking around on and even more fun to through from but can present a safety hazard so be careful out there! Many of the area players I talked to about this course (I called it by its current name, Lincoln Ridge Park, while the locals seemed to prefer calling it Old Bancklick or just BanckLick) expressed frustration over hole 14 mainly that its too easy to shoot into the out of bounds creek. I actually talked to a guy at Idelwild who said he would never play Bancklick again because of that 1 hole! I thought it was a fun hole but agree that it seems incredibly difficult to land inbounds and might be a touch on the short side. I believe a second, long tee pad would work perfectly for hole 14 and I think that if they added them wherever there was room longer tee pads would give you much more room to stretch out your throwing arm. While the course was one of the most fun and scenic courses I've ever played and adding more long tee pads and changing the extension holes is the only way right now I could I imagine the course getting better and deserving a 5 rating. I will absolutely play this course again the next time I am in N. Kentucky or S. Ohio and would highly recommend it for people of any disc golf skill level as long as hey can safely navigate steep hills.

Pros:

I went expecting a good disc golf course, I found a great disc golf course. Definitely one of the best in the Cincinnati area, and in any area. It has a good mix of long and short holes, some beautifully maintained fairways, some primeval forest, and some holes right on the edge of civilization. I will take this trek any time. At times I felt like I was on Avatar. What an amazing experience.

Cons:

I really have nothing negative to say. I didn't give it a 5 because it doesn't quite compare with a couple other courses I've played, and I leave the 5 for only those rarest of rare courses.

Other Thoughts:

I enjoyed this course more than Idlewild, though it is great, and not quite as much as Mr. Airy.

Cons:

Other Thoughts:

I loved this course probably most of all during a disc golf road trip, even though I played idlewild before it on the same day, and lost to my friend on the last hole when he sunk a 150' second shot to win. This course is fantastic!!! I would probably rather play this course again than idlewild due to the difference in level of difficulty. I couldn't dream of shooting under par any time soon at idlewild, while I shot 5 under at Lincoln Ridge and thought its course was just as spectacular. Great Challenging Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 14, 2012 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

- Great use of elevation whether with big downhill shots or long gradual uphill shots.
- Concrete tee pads that are in good shape. Little to no slipping on them when wet.
- Will test all the shots in your arsenal from straight shots, slight, long and big high hyzers and anhyzers.
- Easy to follow flow to the course.
- Accuracy is needed for the creek holes(it's not fun climbing in and out of the creeks).
- You can be rewarded or punished going for some baskets due to them being on hill sides.
- Very little interference from cars or runners/walkers
- Grass is always in great shape.
- Benches every few holes
- People who play here are pretty good about calling you for lost discs
- Nice restrooms open during the summer months

Cons:

These are few and far between
- Will be tough on beginners and rec players but still a fun course to play
- With there being many elevation changes and no grass on the creek holes it can get wet/muddy after heavy rains.
- Can be pretty busy and usually one or more groups waiting on hole 1(or at least every time I play there)
- Many people don't play holes 5 & 6 across the parking lot after hole 4, so you may get cut off on hole 7.

Other Thoughts:

- Beautiful park with rolling hills.
- Playground for the kids, a nice pond sits in the middle of holes 21 and 24, soccer and baseball fields and picnic shelters available.

Idle's little brother 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 21, 2012 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

One of the most well-rounded courses I have ever played. Short to long holes, alternate tees and pins and great course maintenance. These are just a few of the reasons that make this course a local favorite.

A huge factor in rating a course for me is public interference, of which this course has very little. You never have to throw across any walking paths or worry about flipping a disc into oncoming traffic. (holes 2, 3 and 22 are only a slight exception of which traffic is extremely sparse on the right side of each). The park is extremely peaceful with no loud highways or picnic shelters on the side of fairways. Despite it's respective remoteness, Banklick has managed to be within decent distance of suburbia and still avoid being overrun.

Sweeping wooded hyzers, steep dropoff shots, open-field headwinds, a variety of fairway elevations, narrow fairways and long bombs are all included in the arsenal of throws you are required to make for a good score here. The mix of scenery is also a huge bonus for this course: the lower holes border a rocky creek, middle holes are tentative woodlands and the upper holes are sparsely wooded fields with beautiful rolling hills and a few ponds (both dry and wet.) The OB's are present but subtle. They are relatively easy to avoid but still add a challenging factor to a minority of holes.

Many holes have benches and most if not all have proficient tee signs and fairly accurate distances and pictures. Trash cans are present and tee pads are perfectly sized.

Lastly, I have never struggled to find a parking spot here.

Cons:

The only reason this course is not a 5 Disc Rating in my book is because I don't leave in bewilderment at how amazing the holes and course design are. I do however leave in awe of the beauty of the course.

Also, afternoon DGer traffic can be heavy at times but never too overbearing.

Other Thoughts:

Early morning is the best time to go. The course is beautiful in the morning sunlight with the dew still on the grass.

Be careful on the lower holes after a heavy rain, it can get muddy but not extremely sloppy.

Difficulty level: Intermediate to Advanced. This isn't a mind-numbing Idlewild, you can bring your recreational friends and they will still enjoy this course but it does have some more advanced shots so that all skill levels can enjoy playing it.

Lastly, spread the love. Call numbers on found discs, encourage people to check out this course and participate in leagues and tournaments if possible. This course is not only great for Disc Golf play but for the Disc Golf community as well.

Enjoy!

Would rather be here than Idlewild. 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 9, 2012 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Excellent course, tons of variety in the holes
Equal amount of shots in the woods and through open fields
I really enjoy when the course goes down towards the creek, it can be very frustrating to lose your disc in the giant chasm of the creek to your right, but that's the whole point.
I love the downhill shots this course offers. Teaches you a bit about throwing into elevation changes.
Around 16 there's a hole where you shoot across a creekbed that is very deep. This is another one where you have to have control or you're going to have a bad time.
You leave a frustrating woods to the final 3 holes which are wide out in the open and long.
This course is always well maintained. I go here at least twice a week and have never seen this place in bad shape.
They are constantly changing basket positions, which makes for very fun play.

Cons:

In a very very busy park area, thus parking can be terrible sometimes.
If it's muddy out at all, this course can be treacherous.

Would rather come here than idlewild.

aka BankLick, A True Beauty 2+ years

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Apr 14, 2012 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Disc Golf comes across as the focal point of this beautiful park, with an opening hole where you get to launch an open drive downhill ("yay!" -noodlearm) towards the woods, come back to your right, and launch another downhill. So I'm already happy at the outset of this 24 hole gem.

For Rec to Intermediate players, Lincoln Ridge (once called BankLick) is the very best. Open players seem to want just a little more challenge, but the rest of us will already struggle with the variety and sometimes the length of this course. Holes range (fairly evenly distributed) in length, elevation and technicality, and (if you're limited by time) loop back toward the parking lot at #11, 19, 23 (&24), but you'll want to play them all!

Concrete tee pads, decent tee signs, and good baskets join benches and trash receptacles on every hole. The park is always well-maintained, and I've never even seen much trash here. Paths and some of the wooded fairways got new mulch before the first spring tournament, and are clearly kept up regularly. There are upper and lower tee pads on four of the holes, adequate parking, and amenities (bathrooms, shelter, playground, ball fields, etc.) for the rest of the family if they don't get hooked and play with you.

But if I haven't mentioned the beauty, the open shots include one (#13) that goes out 317' along a ridge that falls off gently into the woods on three sides of the basket, a tricksy drop shot down toward a ravine right and beyond, and then two beautiful trail holes where you'll really want to stay up to the left, and not down the 20' bluff into the creek.
One of my favorite holes is a 270' ravine-crossing (rhbh) anny (#20) that cuts through a 15' gap about 200' from the tee. It feels awesome to park this one for a birdie!

I haven't even mentioned the wooded, uphill, blind, S-shaped #6, the deuce-able but dangerous drop on #7, or the rewarding blind hyzer #8. But wait, even the open (again, downhill!) finish on the 519' #24 rolls across the manicured lawn above the picturesque pond.

Update 4/22/14: For variety, there are 'upper' and 'lower' tees on 10, 16, 18, 19, & 21). There are a few alternate pin placements (on 1, 10, 11 & 13) used since I started playing in 2011, but they are not frequently shifted, so you don't need to constantly adapt.

The parks department (or volunteers?) keep this course in the top favorites in the world by annually refreshing mulch and gravel where needed, or, just this month, terracing a nice set of steps down the steep hill on the ace run #7. The path down the right side of the fairway is safe and easy for all weather conditions, right down to the bridge. Nicely done!

Cons:

The only complaints I have here are that holes #22 & 23 feel so much like afterthoughts, involving a lengthy trek up the driveway and across the entry drive, to get to them; #10, aside from being hard on me, tends to retain water, and the basket is on a fairly steep slope down to the right (watch your rollers); and there are now a couple of places (especially on #19 upper), where the tee pads need to be replaced or upgraded.

Edit 4/22/14: For 'winter' tourney play, or when the slopes are likely to be treacherous, the 'winter 20' are often played, skipping the beautiful, but slippery ravine holes 14-17. We cut left down the path after 13, but that path can be a muddy mess, as well, and the 'lower' 18th tee pad is not really maintained regularly (FYI if you're worried about your footing in the wet).

Other Thoughts:

In all, if you're in Northern Kentucky or the Greater Cincinnati area, you have a number of 'Must See' courses. Stop by Idlewild or Mt.Airy for beauty plus challenge, but if you're hoping to play the most fun and beautiful course in the region, stop by for a couple of enjoyable hours at Lincoln Ridge.

Great Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Feb 29, 2012 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Great over all course.
Long drives and challenging putts all around.
The fairways in the wooded areas are just big enough for you to feel comfortable really putting some energy into your drives.

Cons:

Some tee pads are cracking apart a tiny bit.
Some holes do play along a water hazard. These aren't too bad now but given some time and spring rain the water level will rise and make it hard to collect discs.
A little bit of trash is collecting in the low area, but its still early in the year and weather has been bad.

Other Thoughts:

If you get a chance to play here you must. Its worth the drive.

Banklick 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Oct 1, 2011 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Great hole variety and just a beautiful course all around. It's challenging but not impossible. You can't go away from this course disappointed. You have to use all of your game here and at the end you'll know you played one of the greatest courses in disc golf. Well kept, well thought-out, length variety, elevations, woods, water, scenery - this course has it all.

Cons:

When they expanded this course from 18 to 24 holes some of those added holes didn't add much to improve the course. It would have been nice to add phenomenal holes to an already great course and make it even better.

Other Thoughts:

This is one of the best courses I've played - if not the best. There aren't any unfair holes created just to be difficult. There's plenty of challenges but it's still a lot of fun. Just thinking about this course makes me want to go play it again!
