Pros:
- this is a great beginner course, it will help teach new players various different throws
- very pleasant park scene, along a beautiful (but shallow) creek
- playable during a lunch break
- great course to practice throwing putters
- brand new Discatcher baskets
- easy to nominate some safari "long tees" for some more fun
- other park activities (playground, softball field) are not in throwing lanes
Cons:
- navigation is horrendous, which seems to be the theme for all Nacogdoches courses
- the tee boxes are marked by 4x4 timbers laying flat in the ground, with "T BOX 5" written on them, they are hard to see and the ground isn't worn enough to notice them easily
Other Thoughts:
This course would be a perfect pitch - n - putt if it had some decent tee markers. It doesn't need John Houck style signs, just a wooden post standing up with the tee number on it would suffice. I actually really enjoyed hole 7 and hole 5. I'd love to play some glow here too.
