Pros:

There are exactly five pros to this course. 2. 3. 13. 14. 15. These holes bring it. They all run parallel to the lake but often there is a tree line in between so the fairways vary between lake bordering and not. Fairly generous but nicely shaped to allow some different throws. When in standard pins, these are just well designed golf holes. (the b pins are a little gimmicky.) Wood chips on the ground keep it from feeling like a road. It is also nice that 2 and 3 put the lake to the right while the others feature the lake on the left.
There are a few other good things here. The double mando on 8 is really unnecessary because I can't imagine anyone not wanting to go that way. Still, 8 is good hole that at least forces a low straight shot. ( finishes well, offering a protected basket to toughen up an open hole.

Cons:

The rest is fairly bland as most of it crosses a small parcel of field. I'm not sure if there is anyone that would attempt the carry on 15 that wouldn't be bored by a lot of the other holes here. It's mostly open, park golf with a few trees scattered around. It's such a big park that I'm surprised that they couldn't find more good terrain. The parcel of trees opposite the last three holes in particular looks like it could have supported a series of tough tunnel shots.
The worst of it is those last three, as well as 5 and 6. All basically along the road and inviting golfers to have a wait while cars pass, or have cars pop up while the disc is in flight. Worse, the road is to the left of the fairway on four of the five holes.

Pros:

On the drive through the park, I saw a rare sight: a sign saying "You're entering a disc golf area. No picnicking, no sunbathing..." Something like that. This area is fortunate to have such massive parks that they can say "Okay, the volleyball players will go over here, the bikers over there, runners over here..."

Most of the holes play in the fairly open area on either side of the park road, but holes 2-4 and 13-15 duck into the wooded area along the shoreline of a nice looking lake.

There aren't a ton of trees in the open holes (I wouldn't call them "open" if there were), but they are used well. Hole 5 uses a line of palm trees nicely. There is a gap in the row if you want the easier backhand, but you probably will have a tougher look at birdie. The turnover shot will get you closer but forces you to pick a gap (or hope).

Hole 13 was probably the best. There is a defined backhand route over land, but there are two big turnover routes over water that might give you a better look at the basket if you dare.

Hole 14 was also great. With the shore on the left, you
are throwing to a gap on the right with a tight uphill shot to a basket on a little ridge (this was the only elevation I remember). You need to decide if you are going to lay up to the gap or try to nail it with a RHBH turnover. Fun hole.

Tee pads are concrete. Navigation was pretty easy except for the transition from 12-13. Go kitty corner from where 12's basket is and go toward the water.

Cons:

Almost no elevation here.

The wooded holes play very close to the water and have trees in the middle of the fairway. This means that if you play here often enough, it is an absolute certainty that you'll have a shot that clips a tree and shanks into the water. You're not allowed to go after it, either.

Most of the holes here are perfectly enjoyable, just not particularly memorable.

Other Thoughts:

Another nice Florida park that did a good job of planning out the space available. This isn't the best course in the area, but if you have time for 3-4 courses, don't hesitate.

Pros:

Beautiful Park
Plenty of space, few interruptions from non dg park goers.

Cons:

Needs some TLC or rather just more players coming through.

Signage is really lacking.

Some holes could use minor adjustments.

Other Thoughts:

This course is definitely worth checking out. It seems like the kind of place that is still smoothing out the initial implementation.

Another minor note. I was visiting from out of town when I played. Maybe I'm getting to old and too persnickety. Maybe it was just that group of people. Perhaps its just something in the water. I (playing alone) caught up to a four pack that did not let me play through. Not only has this never happened to me, I've never actually seen it happen to any one else. Maybe I've been lucky.

Pros:

Lovely park. Great bathrooms and fountains (not close to the course though). Everything is brand new. Course is in a fairly isolated area. Read the driving directions carefully. Two or 3 interesting holes. Volunteers were adding benches and clearing brush the day I was there. That is always a good sign. It shows somebody cares and will care for the course.

Cons:

No tee pads or tee signs (yet). Map is a must. If the volunteers wouldn't have told me where a couple holes were, I would have spent a lot of time looking. Hole 7 is a narrow fare way bordered by a 6' chain link fence with barbed wire (I did see an opening), but I hate that type of hole. People can and do park anywhere in this park. There was an SUV parked directly in the middle of hole 5. The guy was in it, saw me coming and just sat there.

Other Thoughts:

Hole 2 is the only hole where water comes into play and is a nice risk-reward hole. This is a fairly short course, and is great for new players and old farts like me. Hole six is great, with the basket pretty well hidden in the trees. I look forward too the 9 hole addition, and appreciate the care being shown here.
