Pros:
The elevation on the course was pretty nice compared to most Texas courses. The grass seems to be cut very often and for the most part, well maintained. Nice new baskets that looked to have been installed for the 2017 Texas State tournament. Shaded/wooded area so it kept me out of the sun pretty well for most of the course. Would defiantly play here again if I was nearby.
Cons:
Man, some of these holes are longgggggggg. I don't know if they moved the baskets for the 2017 Texas State tournament but you have to be throwing consistently 350-400 to hit par are some holes. If it weren't for some temporary spray painted arrows on the grass to point where the next hole was, I would have been lost. There were some blue wooden poles that helped me find where the next tee pad was but most of the numbers were faded away. The weekend I played Milby it was fairly crowed with people playing soccer and cooking out under the trees blocking some of the baskets.
Other Thoughts:
Did not consider this course to be a professional level course but is very close to it. Holes 19(A), 20(B), 21(C), seemed to have been crammed into a small area. The area around the course is very industrial and you can hear the oil and gas machines while playing. I am not from the Houston area, and when I played here ,in early April, it was probably 80 degrees and the humidity was not fun. I could not imagine playing here in July and August.
