Steamboat is a pretty park like course right along the Missouri river in Pierre. Great views of the river throughout the course. Hole 17 was my favorite with the water on the left definitely in play on an early release RHBH hyzer, great green as well. Nice concrete teepads and fine DGA baskets. Nice grass and old growth trees always makes for a fun time in the park IMO.

Holes 5 -11 have been removed. Didn't know that going in so I wandered around a bit before realizing that new city building must have been the culprit. Not sure exactly where the deleted holes were but seemed like there was enough space between the new building and the river to keep some of them.

The wind the day I played was probably 30 mph headwind on hole 1, don't know if that is common here but made for some funny throwlers. I like to think I have enough experience throwing in the wind but this was next level.

Played this course on the way to the much better course north of town named Powerhouse Alley.
