Fun Intermediate Course 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 5, 2018 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Nice long level wide front concrete Tee pads with signage on every hole. This course is generally well maintained by the county (holes 7 and 8 are "hidden" and trashier). The course is laid out along the Missouri River/Lewis and Clark Trail in a extended double loop pattern. While it does make use of the trees, it is mostly open requiring very little actual line shaping. Distances and obstacles together create a challenge for beginners but make a fun intermediate/recreational course. Despite the amount of walkers/joggers/bikers on the trails, I found little impact upon the course itself, nor did the river really come into play without seriously errant throws. It would be difficult (though not impossible) to lose discs here.

Cons:

Benches, Trash Receptacles and Picnic Tables are spread throughout the park but not conveniently near any Tee pads (or Fairways). A lot of non playing traffic requires a certain level of alertness for interference and pet surprises on the course, typical multi-use park concern.
Sprinkler system throughout the park on a sectional system runs every morning (weekdays at least) but was easy to work around.

Other Thoughts:

This is one of the best maintained public parks I've visited anywhere. Whether its the player base or groundskeepers, there was very little litter anywhere. Highly recommend playing this course if you're anywhere near the area for a fun relaxing round.
