Home Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 24, 2018 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

So much Variety and shot shapes this course will test all the shot shapes in your game. Every hole has fair lines and have a unique flair to them that make them memorable.

The water carries are unique and fun

The course is really easy to navigate.

Cons:

No real open holes on the course where you get to bomb.

Other Thoughts:

This course is overlooked in Charlotte for some reason.

It's not used for as many events and you rarely hear anyone talking about it or suggesting it as a place to go visit for out of towners but it's just as good as any other course in the area.

Love it! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 1, 2013 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Really fun course. Well designed, using the available land. Technical woods course, "not too hard, not too easy" shaped holes. Fairways are "fair". No hidden trees/ impossible shots. Love holes 8 & 9- great risk/ reward. Nice tee pads. Short concrete with back fill framed around them, plays like larger tee pads. Balance of straight, left and right turns. Good tee signs. Practice basket by hole 1. Bath rooms by holes 1 & 18. Best shaded course I've played, really notice it in the summer.

Cons:

Trippers/ tree stumps. Lots have been removed, still lots out there. Water in the lake is down. Was told there is a leak and doubt that the parks dept will fix it any time soon.

Other Thoughts:

Really love playing this course. Not too hard, but not easy. The par 4s require placement shots off the tee, not just throw it as far as you can, throw it again... Love the design of this course.

New Favorite 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 10, 2011 Played the course:once

Pros:

This is my new favorite course in clt.The two water hazzard holes are a breath of fresh air. Number 9 is the definition of a risk/reward shot. Iloved the design of this course. There were left turning and right turning shots, ace runs and elevation changes.

Cons:

poison ivey. no tee pads yet. slipped a few times while driving

Other Thoughts:

can't wait til the tee pads are put in.
