Ok people before it was illegal to do something that is still legal everywhere people who bowled smoked. And that is considered a sport. This is plain and simple more restrictions on freedom. I understand and agree with inside places but your outside and don't like smoke ask them please don't blow the smoke at me or here is a crazy idea don't walk next to them. Congrats even less freedom we have in the U.S.A.

Next year the PDGA is planning on giving stroke penalties to people that rip ass during tourny play. Oh yeah, and no more eating food or drinking water on the course either.

You didn't read that you can't wear shoes if you are 5'6 and up and no more bathrooms they spread germs. That's crazy but telling people you can't do something that is perfectly legal isn't....... ok then usa or ussr?hmmmmm

Hmmm, one is against the law, that may have something to do with it...

Which one, cigarettes or tequila

I'll have to practice my SBDs so that I can't be stroked :hfive:

What?
You mean people do not like increased chances of getting cancer while walking in the park?
I'm shocked!

Lol. If they're so concerned about that, then they might want to talk to their local manufacturing plants about the infinite number of cigarette equivalent pollution that they chooch out every second.

These people might also want to avoid being near running vehicles...

This sport will be an awesome spectators sport when Ron Paul becomes President and they legalize heroin.

Smoking or not is one of the differences between a hobby and a sport.

really must be why soooo many professional baseball players use snuff and/or chewing tobacco. Forgot that MLB wasn't a sport. Genius statement.

And banning e-cigs...simply stunning. wow wow wow

"The PDGA survey clearly shows that more members agreed with the smoking ban than not". thats because the majority of people dont smoke, so how is that fair to impose your will on the minority.
PDGA, a bunch of Utilitarian a-holes!

I want to see the actual survey numbers, not just there statement about it.
They prob used a per capita formula to round the numbers to your liking...

Banning a HEALTHY alternative to smoking is ridiculous, what next no chantix?

Piss test me for my painkillers.

I wonder where the most dominant player in the history of DG stands on this issue?? :)

Aka- The Champ

I like the ban. I don't smoke cigs. I find that even the most considerate of smokers distracts me when playing on my card.

Why should I have to put up with that when playing in a competition that I pay to participate in?

Smokers always complain about "their" freedom with no regard to the fact that they impose on mine. Please don't tell me that I have to hold my breath, walk away if I don't like it, or ignore the person smoking.

In general I am opposed to outdoor smoking bans, but I think the exception in this case is that you must stay in close proximity to the other players in your group for 3 or 4 hours sometimes, so I can see where someone chain smoking (not the good kind) could get annoying. I personally would not like to smell like cigarette smoke after a round.

Banning e-cigs and other smokeless tobacco is downright ridiculous. Will high-fructose corn syrup be the next to go?

I vote to ban patchouli oil, that is a nuisance.

That has so much WIN! as an ex smoker I could give a crap about cigarette, cigar or even weed smoke.. Patchouli on the other hand makes me want to vomit and will throw everything off. Anyone wearing it should be suspended for deliberately being a distraction.

I do agree that this is the difference between it being a sport and a hobby. Also the difference between a normal tourney and something that spectators other than other golfers are going to possibly watch.

Are you trying to say something? Or just putting random words together?

Stud has the view that if RP were to win the presdeincy he would legalize all drugs. However, Dr. Paul only wants to change our country's approach towards drug users to a more social issue and not criminal. But the smoking ban is alittle annoying, Im almost certain you can smoke on the course during PGA rounds.

You do not know Ron Paul's stance.
