[Discraft] Discrafts misprint deal is awesome

no not yet. I have the sign vinyl and dye and hotplate. just need to get some transfer tape and pick up a pan from goodwill. I think my first dye will happen by the end of the month

Shoot, I have the tape and the pan. Lets go dying! I love my 150 Surge. Does the lighter weight make a disc more stable?

start working on a few designs. I think either on sunday the 26th or the following weekend there is going to be a disc dyeing art day at my place. that day I am going to try a few different designs. if I remember i will bring some vinyl up to brighton next doubles so you can start making your stencils.

I think the lighter weight gives you more of a chance of getting the correct arm speed for the disc. my arm speed isn't fast enough for the heavier version. (I think;I could be wrong on this whole statement)

I went through a whole light disc phase last year. Now I carry a lot of my favorite drivers in a 150 and a 170 version in my bag.

Me and my friend have been contemplating this for a while, but after this thread we could not pass it up. Ordered this today, hopefully it comes soon.

I love mine so much, I'm now on my fourth. You can really rip them farther than a normal weight when it's calm or there's a tailwind. They are really affected by wind though. I do wish that they were still making their 150 class in Z plastic (my first one) too. The three ESPs I replaced my original with (tie dye brown, yellow, and green Z) just aren't as good - pretty flexible. They're still great though.

I played around with the 150 Flick I got in my package today and love it. I'm already set on getting at least 1 more if not 2.

I love my 150 Surge, but they only make that in X plastic. I wonder if they will ever make that in ESP.

Don't buy any just yet. I've got a misprint order in. If I get one (as it seems is possible with all of them popping up in these packs lately), I'd be more than willing to trade/sell them to you if you're interested. I have two already and won't need a third/fourth.

After reading this thread a couple weeks ago, I decided to go ahead and order the ESP/Z 10 pack since I'm not too familiar with Discraft discs anymore & thought this was a good opportunity to get familiar (I used to have some of their discs from the late 1990's and currently have a Buzz in Z plastic and a Elite-X XL in my bag).

Date Ordered/Confirmation Email: 7/4/09

I'll predict the Surge will make the cut (if not, I'll trade you for it :D). I hope my stack is as good as this.

I'd be very happy with the selection. Only thing that would have been kind of a downer is the clear, especially since it's the crystal. I have one clear disc, and it sits in my trunk. I can't find that thing in a wide open field, with a beacon on top of it. But to be fair, I'm pretty blind when it comes to spotting discs (I can see a golf ball tucked under a pile of leaves, I don't know), so it may be just me :D

Really? I have a completely clear striker that just stands out so well...the light reflects and its like throwing a mirror into a field.

As I said, I still have issues seeing discs in general, sometimes when they are right out in the open. My biggest issue with the clear is where I play, heavy woods (not a lot of sun over parts of it), and it just vanishes if it gets into the brush.

Again, it just may be me, I was stoked when I got it, thinking the same thing. Until I spent 20 minutes walking a fairway where I knew it landed, finall (almost) stepped on it.

I am in for 2 sets, with shipping going from $13 to $17 I couldn't resist. I'll post once received. I have a son and nephew playing with me so they will get what I don't want or like.

After seeing the posts about the selection I received as well as doing a little online research last night, it appears as though I got the luck of the draw.

I haven't had the opportunity to try any of them out yet (and may not get the chance to today if the T-Storms they're calling for make an appearance). But just by the feel of them in my hand, I'd say at least six of them feel 'right'.

I was also concerned about the clear Challenger (as others have posted) and will have to be careful about where/when I throw it (at least until I get used to it).

I'll post more after I toss them around a bit.
