Is Ricky Wysocki Already Becoming the Next Disc Golf Legend?

I disagree with your assessment then.

I do know that you're far more familiar with biomechanics and correct form than I am... but in McBeth's drives (like in the slow mo video with him/will/big jerm/feldy) his right foot rotates on his heel, just like the other three displayed in that video... has he changed it since then?

Somewhat off topic but I am a little

With McBeth it has changed somewhat over the years, but when he goes for distance he still tends to heel pivot.

If you pivot on your toes, your whole body has to spin around the toes which A. makes it hard to brace in the first place, B. if you do brace more likely to torque the ankle or knee while trying to get your whole body going around the brace point.

If you pivot on the heel, the toes spin around instead of the body so everything pivots nice and centered through the brace point.

Since USDGC.com has been revised numerous times and doesn't seem to preserve anything, gotta use the wayback machine at archive.org.

Koling wins Distance Exhibition
This seems to imply that he won the Distance Showcase "by going over the road". This is different than the actual Distance event where they actually measure the throws in a flat field.

I'm thinking they cancelled the distance finals on the field that year due to weather, and gave it to the Showcase "winner". Seems Big Jerm can only win USDGC events when weather happens. :\

His putting game now, is looking as good as anyone to date. So in that regard his play is getting into legendary status because of that.

I'd rather be current champion than former champion.

What about if you won your Championship when the previous Champion had a bad back. The previous number three had a meltdown season. And two of the top 10 ranked players were out for the season.

Would you still think it mattered more than the guy who just won four in a row?

And since you're wondering, yes this is a troll. But even still, the replies are gonna be fun.

Nothing should take away any credit for what Ricky has done.
He has worked hard to improve his game and he fought hard for his big wins.
Not only that, he has worked to improve his mental game and is much less likely to melt down under stress.
In addition, he has obviously spent time on his communication and presentation skills.
His achievements have been stellar for the last year or so, no doubt.

However, one great DG year does not make a legend.
Give it a decade or more (KC), maybe even 5 years, and THEN we'll start talking legend.
One year, not even close...

Paul MuhBack... We're talking about the next disc golf legend here. Not some handicapped dudes.

Should I follow that with, Ricky-the strokes got in my head?

Truth is, you've got your answer. You think it's a Ricky Paul thing. Nope. It's a KC thing. Give Ricky ten years and let's see where he is.

And of course both of them will never have one thing. Neither will ever really be the Champ.

Until one of them goes 8 in a row or wins 13x
