[Innova] The Tern!

Too early to be an April Fool's joke...

I bet this thing will sell well. I'm still mastering high-speed stuff, and I actually throw overstable high speed stuff better than understable (probably because my form is horrendous)...so I think I will pass. But I bet there will be a lot of people buying it for sure.

Another glidey long driver. There's too many of them that already do something interesting for this one to gain any traction. Stupid name, regular Innova plastic, least useful role in the bag; nothing special. I'm sure they'll bomb though :hfive:

as a beginner noodle arm (like all of you were once)
it at least sounds interesting to me, kinda like a mamba (which i really like) with some valkarie (my current fav. driver) like fade
but not as fast as a katana

i just looked at the #s again
it is an easier to throw krait or a high speed valk:thmbup:

I'll never buy one. No way it'll hold a candle to my trusty seasoned Destroyer.
I wonder what they frankensteined to make this. With glide 6 it can't be a Vulcan top. Maybe Innova learned their lesson with that one.

I'd like to feel one, figure out what it's made from. I'd guess like a mamba top for glide and like a beast bottom thats modded.

Back in the Innova corporate HQ there are a bunch of management people laughing their asses off. They just keep cranking out the same junk, and DGers keep buying it. They are trying to see if they can find a name bad enough to keep it from selling. Next up, the Titanic! Oops, that has already been taken. :D

Maybe the Hindenberg. :gross:

I'm just a little disappointed with their recent naming of discs. I mean, this isn't the 80's anymore. I think they could come up with names that are a little more creative than with up they're coming up with now. vulcan, krait, archon?? Now the tern? Obscure names that don't do any justice to discs that end up just sitting in everyone's trunks after a round or two. Lat 64, MVP, and Westside are coming out with cool names and they don't have to be obscure to be cool.

The names don't bother me, it's the inconsistency!
They could call it the a$$wipe. :D As long as you could pick up several and they all fly the same, I'd be happy.

I think they are trying to stick with the animal theme from the 90s... except they used up all the cool ones already like barracuda, piranha, python, moray, lynx, raven, ram etc.

I think it's one of their best names for marketing purposes because the disc will do what the name implies. I'm thinking Stable might be a future good name also.

The Stable sounds like a follow up on the Quiver.

"A full stable of discs in one mold!"
