Recently fell in love with the comet myself, I have a Z glo that I think is in max weight class not sure the exact weight as it was a gift. So I began to throw it about a month ago and I threw it just in my yard doing field work. I'm happy to say that it's in the bag now. I love this disc and I can throw it on lots of different lines but my favorite is to hyzer flip it or throw it on anny and just watch it gliiiiiiiiiide!! Out there and do it's thing.

I know you've carried an undertaker and mantis in the last couple of years, but what disc is your workhorse fairway driver?

I'm pondering switching back to Discraft for this slot and looking at the undertaker, mantis, and stalker. Never thrown the first two much, the stalker was bagged several years ago and always liked it except for headwinds.

ESP would be the closest easiest to get. Ti Comets are out there but not as easy to find.

Agreed, Ti is the closest thing,
the next closest might be the MJ Sig Comets.

I recently ran into someone who found my first run Z Archer, it's the disc I used the comet to replace and I like the comet but now I'm torn. I live the Archer and can do what I use the comet for and more, oh yeah, the Archer is my first ace disc also. Decisions decisions.

Absolutely! Don't know how many big tournaments I'll play but maybe I'll add another in if he's playing and it's fairly close

I lost my favorite fly dyed Z Comet. I am somewhat heartbroken.
I am off to pick up a replacement. I think the store has a sig line Z. If so, its mine! I am very curious to see the difference.
I putt with Envys and Atoms, but I keep a Roach in my bag for shots that I need to not roll. I lost it as well. Guess now I have an excuse to try out a Roach in Jawbreaker

Not sure. Don't know enough about their plastics to be able to compare and contrast them

My fairway driver lineup now is normally, Mantis, undertaker and machetes. It swaps around some depending on courses, but that is pretty much what I use. Mantis is normally my less stable one and on up to machetes for overstable, trick shots and such

I switched back to throwing my Ledgestone Ti Comet. I feel that this is the best plastic to run the Comet in.
MJ, are there any plans for another special run of Ti this year? I need some backups and missed your special run last year.

Well, it looks like I might have to make a trip over to Rollin' Ridge to watch MJ shred that course with comets. There's something satisfying about watching someone else use midranges to destroy a course that kicks your own butt.

...which is good as the store was out of the sig lines...or any heavies at all.
I did pick up a X Mantis and a X Crank.
I have the Ace Race Ti Mantis in my bag and it never flew like a fiarway Comet. The X flies as you suggested it would.
Now I have bookend Mantisi for my Crave. I am very pleased with this setup....although I dint know what I will do once th Ti beats all the way in.
I gotta quit falling in love with oop discs.

Yea they only made those Ti Mantis for the ace race they came out during. They were way more stable than what they were trying to make
