Switching to all Innova and need to figure out how to best replace my zone which I through backhand and forehand. Any ideas on the best disc/discs to do this?

There really is no true replacement for a Zone.

Depending on how you use it, either a Pig or a Whippet are your best options.

Pig or Rhyno, the whippet is substantially longer than the Zone. Is Innova sponsoring you? If not, why remove a disc like that from your bag? I finally gave up on my 11 years of only Innova and have a drone in my bag. It's perfect for what it does. I've heard the same about the zone, it that's what you want, that's what you need.

The zone is the only zone. There is no replacement. Very unique feel great for fh and bh.

Pig or rhyno will be the most obvious options, or powered down banshee/whippet.

i think beadless star gator is kinda what the zone! but can't think of anything for pro d or elite z zones. those beadless stars are close to the esp zone.

3 reasons why a Pig is better than a Zone.

1. The Pig doesn't skip 800ft when it lands, it sticks which makes it a far superior approach disc.
2. The Pig doesn't feel like **** in your hand, it's got a nice beefy rim with a thumbtrac that feels great.
3. If you throw Pigs you're not just another DC fanboy spouting a bunch of nonsense about how Innova sucks and everything DC is amazing.

3 reasons the zone is better than the pig
1. The zone has a nice predictable skip allowing you to get further around those hyzer obstacles and closer to the pin.
2. The zone doesn't feel like **** in your hand, it's got a nice narrow rim that's easy to grip and no annoying thumbtrack.
3. If you throw zones you're not just another innova fanboy spouting a bunch of nonsense about how DC sucks and everything innova is amazing.

Maybe but Pigs are only made in 1 plastic that sucks. Unless you want to pay out the nose for OOP Pros.

^new your funny. dc is not amazing i am no fanboy. the zone is a great disc in premium plastic. r poop pigs suck. i have not seen one dc fanboy here. get over your your hate for dc or whatever it is that causes you to spout zone hate.

the pig is a great disc for sure, there are other options too. i know he is looking for innova, but to compare the pig to the zone is difficult because of the skip/feel. Pigs are dead you are never getting a champ pig so give it up man!! ;)

You just sold me on the Zone. I should be able to effortlessly push it out to 1000 feet, no problem.

i don't hate DC, i throw some DC plastic. and believe me there are zone/buzzz fanboys, i'm not saying there aren't roc/teebird fanboys but look no farther than this thread for people acting like the zone is the end all be all of discs.

you guys do realize i'm just screwing around right, i know some people prefer that awkward zone rim and its skip. i just hope you realize that some people prefer their disc to stay where it lands.

I'll consider giving the Pig another go when Innova releases it in either Champion or Star plastic. I used to think the old pro's threw nice but I went with the Zone because I could toss it farther. I find that shallow rim depth to be very easy to release on a hyzer line.
