[Dynamic] the details of your dynamic ESCAPE

I was really hoping these were going to be available in that sea foam moonshine like the Verdict. Either way I'll be procuring one...or 2. Thanks for the comparison pics.

Part of tonight's haul, 2 moonshine, 1 fuzion, 1 bio. Time to check these things out, see if they can take over my fairway driver slot. The fuzion seems to be pop-top domey, while the bio is pretty flat and the moonshine are somewhere in the middle. I have a lucid escape already that is fairly flippy, id say flight ratings of -2, 1. Im hoping these can cover the full spectrum. And for those of you who havent felt up the moonshine escapes, do it, the plastic feels pretty awesome.

Are your Moonshines what you would call soft/flexible compared to the others?

I'm interested to hear how they all fly for you.

Mine fly like a slightly more stable Saint. The plastic feels a little like Opto plastic to me.

Yes they are more of a soft/flexible plastic, not quite "gummy", but very nice feeling. I will get to throw them after work today, Im counting down the hours already. :wall: I just hope the "scattered showers" the weatherpeople are saying are possible doesnt turn into full fledged rain, seeing as how many times they get their predictions right.

Well, the Moonshine Escape I have is actually less stable than my Lucid and Fuzion. I'm kinda bummed. PM me if you want to trade.

Looking at PLH again, it's a crap shoot as to which actually has the higher or lower one. The biggest difference between these two is dome. Is anyone finding flat Escapes to be less stable, assuming PLH to be similar?

However, with the whole PLH thing, I was assuming it to be the lowest point of the leading edge of the disc, assuming no trim/bevel on the nose. The Lucid in my picture has a drastic bevel, and I was taking that as the lowest point and didn't account for the curve of the wing. So yeah, they are basically the same. None of that really matters...just bringing closure so I don't feel like an idiot.

I've only had a few throws with my Moonshine escape, but it seems slightly more OS then my Lucid so far. If it keeps up it will be exactly what I was hoping for, I'll be getting another one come payday. I do wish they came in the sea foam green that the verdicts do though, I love variety.

Dang, now I feel like I am the only one who has an understable Moonshine Escape.

I'm not dealing with enough OAT to make a difference here (not gonna claim my throw is 100% pure). Any chance I just got a dud? BTW - I am comparing flat throws around 20' high max, at 375' to 400'.

I would love to see some profile shots if you guys have the time.

Well I had less than ideal conditions tonight to throw my escapes, scattered storms around the area bringing winds to the course. It went from calm to winds of 20 mph swirling. That being said, before the round I was testing out the escapes. All 4 were between 174 and 175 g. For the most part the moonshines were the most OS out of the bunch. During warm ups they had no turn to them, and I would say a fade of 1.5-2. I did notice that the moonshines were a little more sensitive to OAT, any wrist roll and they would get a pretty good turn, but still fade out of it at the end. The flat bio had little to no turn, with a smaller more forward fade. The fuzion was least stable of the four, showing turn in any type of wind or calm. I did not have a fresh lucid to throw, so I can not say where that one would fall in the spectrum, although I may have to pick one up now just to try. I would say consistently I was hitting between 375-400 with these, with my longest throw of the night pushing 415 with the fuzion. The moonshines flew pretty close to my star teebirds, albeit 25-50 foot farther. Based on my throws tonight (tentatively speaking because of the fluctuating winds) I would say the moonshines were OS, the bio was stable to very slightly OS, and the fuzion was stable to slightly US. As a side note, I did manage to throw them into a steady headwind of about 20 mph just to see how they would do, and as expected they did not fair to well. However, the only thing that didnt turn right and just keep going was my Trident and Zone.

Bio (left) vs Moonshine (right) dome:
cant get the picture to not be huge, but the bio is slightly flatter than the moonshine.

I wasnt kidding when I said the fuzion was almost pop top domey.

Yeah I would say that's pretty much the norm on the domes. The biofuzion and fuzion have just a slight more dome to them than the lucid or moonshine. I've thrown a domey lucid next to a flat lucid though and they flew the exact same throw after throw so I don't know if it matters so much on this mold. I like the way the flatter ones feel in the hand though.

while im sure the moonshines do a better job resisting turn due to wind,id love to see DD put a spacer in the the escape to create an OS fairway. id keep my fingers crossed the spacer would create the 0, 3 flight we love to beat headwinds with. same great feel as the disc we love, with that extra beef we need to fight any turn. mmm now that sounds delicious

this x 1000.

So I finally got some more throws in tonight with my Escapes. In terms of stability I would put them in the order of moonshine>fuzion>bio. They are all still 9/10 or better condition. The bio I can hyzer flip, the other two will not flip without some OAT. The moonshine has a little more of a fade out than my domey fuzion does. I broke down and ordered a new lucid to throw into the mix. So far they have have been able to do everything I was doing with teebirds, so Im happy. Im hoping the bio breaks into a pretty straight flyer quickly, as my slightly beat lucid is a good understable when thrown flat/hyzer flip dead straight disc.

I had the same experience, except I throw lucids instead of bios. The biggest difference I noticed was in HSS and not in LSS. I kind of feel like these are a little more Eagle like than Teebird like. By that I mean they do have the mid flight flex. The escapes do like to bend a little in the middle of the flight.

I'm loving the escapes though. I'm bagging 2 moonshines, a fuzion and a lucid. As time goes on I'm not sure that I'll see a purpose for all three, but with Trespasses, I'm carrying 4 different kinds of plastic for trespasses (hybrid - fuzion - lucid - bio).

I'm using xXx -> Escape -> Diamond for fairway drivers and I have so many different shots covered.

I love the escape. Also, I throw it FH pretty often. I can usually get it out past 375 (fh) on a relatively tight line.

Great disc!

I just got a new bio escape in the mail with the glide rating as 5 stamped on it. The 2 lucids i have say 6 glide and the one i lost did as well? i know DDs site says 9/5/-0.5/2 just like my bio. What gives? Lucids have better glide or did they change the numbers after the earlier run(s)?

i personally feel the lucids have more glide over the bio. this has been the case for my suspects, truths and escapes.

Rusco told me yesterday they will still be releasing an overstable compliment to the escape. I don't know what speed or anything else but the release of the saint pro is not going to stop them from filling gaps they want to . Before that though a more understable driver than the renegade that is not as fast.

So that could actually be the understable compliment to the escape. I'd hope for a speed 8 or 9 underworld like disc. Something that is a roller or turnover when new for better players and a straight beginner driver for new amateurs.
