Highbridge Hills - Wisconsin

In the past year he tried to move 2 women in to "help" him, Tonya and Angela. Both had better sense that to stay. I guess he reaches out to women disc golfers often saying hes looking for "employees". Really why do you think he hired abby?

I assumed because Abby couldn't do better. I mean it doesn't shock me that is what he tries, he can be a charismatic guy, but really seems like such a ****ty thing to do.

The only value john sees in disc golf is as a lure for women. Its pretty pathetic and the ownership is equally responsible for continuing to allow what goes on here.

He was telling us about his dream of building a "million dollar lodge with 5 ladies working".

It was quite the dream scenario.

Sounds like a brothel. Doubt that's legal in Wisco and disc golfers are probably cheap in that regard as well.:|

Well one would clean, one would cook, one would be a disc golfer to run clinics, one would be a massage therapist , and one would be his personal assistant.

It was something to that effect. They'd also offer year long stays for like 2K, massage therapy included.

I always read this thread. Not because I'll ever even be in Wisconsin, but because of the comedy. The private courses I go to here in Texas are just well run, really nice places to play. There's no "soap opera" drama going down. I'm kind of glad though... I'm entertained by this thread.

I also pop in just for the wows.

From ownership change rumors to tire disposal scandals to drunk campers or even metal festivals and with almost daily sketchy operator stories this thread could be a John Candy movie from the 80s. How can this all be just one *real* place? Lol

But you still have to live in Texas. So, so sorry.

Prior to them there was a woman from Oregon who had all but packed up and was ready to move there (with her young son) for a full time job with a good salary. I know of at least 1 or 2 others where there was an attempt to entice them to move there and be his partner.

All Highbridge needs is some big shot investor wanting to turn it into a corporate luxury condo ski mountain, they come in with their rules and uniformed employees/goons. Now the current band of rag tag employees have to stop their shenanigans and conform to the big shot investor's rules and uniforms.

Then when the smoking hot daughter of the investor joins the rag tag locals the only way to settle it is the big race, loser has to leave the mountain forever.

it's a tale as old as time.

That's gonna need a montage.

Welcome to the winning team. I'll see you outside.

Big race?? You mean winner-take-all disc tournament in which the bad guys pull every measure of dirty trick against our hero- who of course sinks the birdie putt on the 18th to send them packing? Haha let's get a script going, we've got a cult classic on our hands!

...the bad guys pull every measure of dirty trick against our hero-

I'm imagining Abby and John doing some Willie Coyote style tricks sneaking around flipping tee signs and putting up painted tunnels.

who of course sinks the birdie putt on the 18th to send them packing?

But this is Highbridge so it's going to subvert your expectations like a Rian Johnson flick, after the putt it made EPA comes in, shuts everything down and sends everyone packing.

Then in the post credits it cuts to a EPA agent getting paid off and everything goes back to the way it was with no character development and nothing that happened matters.

This is John's wet dream, except he gets bought out by the millionaire investor and still gets to F around there and promise everyone personal cabins onsite.

Oh and the smoking hot daughter comes and lives with him and mows the courses.
