Kansas City Wide Open

so no live coverage? just a wrap up video at the end of the day?

DGPtv Broadcast Schedule

DGPtv is on the course now following Paul McBeth and getting some more footage from the first day of the KCWO. This week's format is different than we've been doing. We are producing LIVE wrap-up shows each night starting at 8:15pm CT/6:15pm PT. This is a trial run to see if we can provide another type of media product for brands and companies to get behind. Thanks for hanging in there with us, as we try out some new broadcast models in an effort to improve our product. John Duesler, Principal DGPtv

So no live coverage? Only a post game?

Weak. Even spotty live coverage is better than nothing.

EDIT: wow - beat to it, almost verbatim as well...

This sure brings the debate of spending so much for DiscGolfPlanet.Tv into another realm. If they're not even producing live footage at all than they aren't providing a service greater than what any YouTuber would be able to provide, and there are quite a few people putting out vastly superior quality tournament footage than DiscGolfPlanet.tv. The only edge .tv had was showing it live.

^every bit of this.

They must've forgot to charge the octocopter's batteries last night.

I think it is time for the PDGA to dump discgolfplanet if they are not doing live coverage and supporting small time tournament filmmakers instead you will be able to produce more high quality videos for use on youtube.

agreed. DGPtv has lost ALOT of my support this year. I really really wish Clash hadn't given up. They did such a nice job, and with more support would've left DGPtv in the dust. I wonder if anyone on here knows why Clash gave it up?

I think what bothers me most is this part:
This is a trial run to see if we can provide another type of media product for brands and companies to get behind.
Sounds like their only interest is the same as every other media company, advertisement money. Wrap up shows suck! We want round coverage!!!!

man, if he had a little bit of money supporting them, just think of the videos he would be pumping out!

I hadn't actually talked to the guys, but I saw the DG planet commentary booth thing, so I assumed that they would be doing live coverage as in years past. Ultra weak if they don't.

Also a big assumption, but Cool Daddy Slick Breeze has done some great coverage of other local area tournaments with help from Dynamic, I think. That crew does great stuff, so if they turn out something like what they've done for the Glass Blown Open, for instance, then it'll be very good coverage. Not live, but very well produced once it gets released.

Did anyone look at the Tee Assignments: http://kcfdc.org/kcwo-friday-tee-assignments/

Wysocki has an X next to his name. Did he pull out? And Why?

he probably thought he should let the other Prodigy guys get some face time. Blowing away your own team week after week kind of makes them look bad.

i thought i saw something about him having an injury at the GLO, so maybe its still bothering him? I hope he stills shows up to the MN Majestic!

This x1000.

Actually Ricky just got beat by Koling at the Hambrick. Strangely there's no mention of that fact on the Prodigy website however...
