Signed up! It's my first time playing in this event and I'm stoked. I should have told my partner I have less than 3 rounds in at Nevin and only 2 on Winthrop Gold (zero with ropes)...

My guess -- Austin Fisher/ Farmer Flanagan. Farmer won this last year with a different partner. BUT anything can happen (AND WILL). Alternate shot at Nevin is a killer. and even Captain's choice at Winthrop Gold is not a given for any team.

Does anyone know when the Winthrop Gold course will officially be open for practice? I'm coming up for the US Doubles Friday Sept 27th and was hoping to play the course on my way.

Last year Winthrop was open and available the week of the Doubles Championship. It will definitely be available on that Friday. I am planning on torturing my noodle arm with a double round at Winthrop on that Saturday. It was pretty cool last year getting to see/play with a bunch of the travelling pros.
