Lol i really needed them so i can't be too upset, just thought it was funny when i opened the box and found them inside instead of the bag.
 
I reccomed anyone that has a chance to visit the Salient facebook page.

On the left you can see correspondence between Salient and their customers. Here is just an except

"We appreciate your concern; however, disc golf does not revolve around DGCR. Salient has many valued customers and friends of the Salient family which is why we continue to bring very affordable disc golf products (i.e. catalyst) to the disc golfing population.

Many are quick to forget the trials and tribulations that other seasoned companies have gone thru and weathered. True fans and supporters realize we are making a difference (i.e. competitors price drop) and have thanked us for it.

We are doing quite well and are happy with the route we have taken. Thanks for your concern."

"We are updating you on our status as we know anything. I think that should be evident. Where we choose to do that should be and is up to us. We will continue to keep you informed through all means we select."

While a lot of what they said might be true an ounce of respect for your customer base would be recommended. And when things do go wrong don't blame everyone else and deflect by mentioning other companies had issues to. This is just horrible customer service and you can have the best products on the planet, you won't get my money if you are going to treat the people that keep you in business like crap. And I think time will tell when they are out of business soon and then change their name to something else and probably try again. I think the saddest thing about all of this they started out by saying they were going to do things differently, and customer service was important to them...but in the end they are just a bunch or cranky disc golf jerks...

Why does it have to be the only reason? The top storage is one of the reasons why I like my Contender over my Grip, and I thought I was getting a slightly smaller storage area on the Catalyst. It's not anywhere near as big as Chris very clearly and very directly said it was.

It may not be the only reason, but it was in my list of top ten reasons, and only now after the bags are fully made and waiting to be shipped to customers does the truth come out. Actually, it took the first customer getting one for the truth to come out.

And please stop using the word "mistakenly." It's doublespeak for "we screwed up, we lied, and we're trying to soften the blow by using the word 'mistakenly.'"

You're really not going to win with that tactic. Just some advice. People aren't stupid, and they can forgive actual mistakes, but this isn't a "mistake." This is saying one thing while you know another thing to be true.

Yes, the videos show the pockets, but quickly and the videos were produced well after many people were able to read what Chris said about the size of the top storage area and placed their orders.

Well my months of remaining patient yet extremely anxious for the bag have not exactly payed off.. I received my bag today and when i saw that brown box on the door step I was practically sprinting towards it! I was pumped..

my time had finally come and I cut the thing open and revealed the bag that I had long been waiting for.. But to only find out that I was stuck with a piece of crap. The lower straps that are suppose to connect to the grey padded area from the base of the bag are missing. Not even stitched at all.. I was pissed and still kinda am. Especially since I was about to leave to play a round on a beautiful day. So i contacted salient and all they could do is get me another one along with a disc haha and i still have to pay for shipping!!!! Ridiculous!!!

I wrote them a letter along with my returned bag either asking for full refund or a fully functional bag with disc and sticker.
But at this point im just fed up with the company.. I will most likely sell the dang thing later on, haha im an enraged golfer that's for sure.
my advice: save your money, or get a grip.

Not about the pick but wow real good look for the company. The owner rage quits DGCR (at the time understandably) and latter rights off all customers from that site as a joke.
 
I wish I could say I was surprised at this point. Unfortunately, I expected something like this. On the second bag to a DGCR member, though? Ouch.

Hope they take care of you. If you want a refund, demand it. If you don't get one, the Better Business Bureau is a good place to start.

I understand that they have a return policy, but they sent you a functionally incomplete bag. How are you supposed to wear the bag if the straps don't connect anywhere? This is like buying a car without an ignition.

I would be furious if this happened to me, and they made me pay even one penny to right this wrong.

Let's see how DG tries to patch this one up. I will say he's tried his darnedest but Saliest just keeps cycling him through the wood chipper.
 
they said i could get a fully functional bag in return along with discs and stickers but I just want all my money back haha

Dude, that sucks! Sorry you're having to go through all this. I can't believe you are having to pay for shipping, that's ridiculous! I hope they take care of it for you quickly.
