2014 Mn Majestic

Curious were there out of state top national pros out there playing on the cones, they played the regular old course layout at hansen I would assume? Kinda funny to me that most players have never seen them and the ones that do from outstate just bitch
 
All local. The Majestic was on life support and Rife stepped in to save it. So it was a small field, maybe 40-45 players.
 
Google-d around for a while but was unable to find anything on registration. Did I miss the link posted here somewhere?

Very interested in this event as a warmup for AM Worlds.
 
Oakwood and The Valley should be played close to Am Worlds configurations in the Majestic. Kaposia will be in its 27-hole layout so you'll get practice on several holes that will be part of the Am Worlds 18 layout. There will be Worlds Warm-up events during June on the other courses to be used in Am Worlds to test the layouts.

Is there a good, all-encompassing resource for MN tournament listings?

It says I have to be a pdga member to enter, is that true or is that 10 dollar bypass avail? I don't plan on playing any other tourneys this year... Plus I wanna stay off the radar.
 
Since this is an A-tier event, you must be a PDGA member to play. The $10 non-member fee applies to B and C tier events only.

AWESOME!!!!!!! Will this be similar to the 18 hole layouts used in the recent past sans the hole or two that are changing on the front?
 
The special Kaposia 18 for Worlds hasn't been finalized. There are a few options to be tested in events prior to Worlds.
 
Chuck. Do you happen to have a map of the 'normal' 18 hole layout of kaposia? Or maybe just a quick synopsis of what you guys change?

Is 19&20 basically left unchanged?

i liked how it was setup for the most part in the 2012 majestic saturday layout. much more fun and difficult then other 18-27 layouts i have played there. 2013 layout was almost a birdie fest how they set it up....wish i could've taking advantage of that....sigh...

when are the new holes on the front supposed to be finished? me and a few buddies want to take a trip up in the summer so they can see the courses before worlds.
 
Not sure what the timing will be for changed holes or if it will happen. I would think they might try to reverse 6 before the MN AM event in early May.

Just over a week away. Life has found myriad ways to decrease my practice time. :)

Looks like we've got a few touring pros registered now too.
