Sounds like you go ad hominem when you have nothing to argue. Get out of my head and out of my bag. Thats the only legacy disc I throw. knew it was coming anyway though.

Your last post was mischaracterizing my points and taking them to absurd extremes "guess all my discs are plus molds" and if they were plus molds no one would throw them and people throw them so they can't be plus molds. Logic is not your strong point.

Sorry scary panda-eye man. I see you stomp over these forums all the time. But you didn't get me.

I knew I was next. My bad, I like ONE disc for a concrete, measurable difference from another. I could see how that makes me a total fanboy.

You brought up the irrelevant facts by talking about the ghost not me, then you continued to talk about it. So you sounded like a typical fanboy because thats what they all do.

I was just pointing out how a majority of discs have a slant to them. Also plus molded discs dont get thrown too often so logicially the dont get sold too often as well. Understanding logic must not be your strong point.

You also realize I do what I do right? I stop false trains of thought before they get too far. I do this because the majority of people on here come here to learn more about the game and will believe what they read. So when they read something like "Roc3's are all plus molds" they believe it.

I just measured my various Rocs. On a scale of slant 1-10 with 10 the most-

Plus Roc-10
New Champ Roc3-4.0
New DX Rancho-3.5
Newer KC 12x-3.0
Beat KC 11X-1.5

I saw just the smallest difference between the Roc3 and Rancho. Yes there is a difference but its like 1 degree, nowhere near Plus Roc and very Close to New DX Rancho or KC 12x.

I appreciate you at least took the time to consider what I said and check for yourself. That being said, "measuring" and then placing on a subjective (to you) 1-10 scale isn't really measuring.

I had to use dots to sight because its hard to tell the exact point an angled rim meets the plate. The more angled the more difficult. Still not a ton of accuracy but noticeable usually means more than 1 degree of difference.

I am trying to think of a way to accurately measure.

and for clarification, I don't think all Roc3's are fully plus molded but they are noticeably more slanted than Rancho's and less so than + molds. How much? don't know yet.

I agree that the slanting isn't bad enough to mess with slippage like the R+ and the TB+. I do however get weird disc feedback sometimes throwing them flat or slightly anny. Hyzer however, I think that the slant plays in the ROC3's favor over other molds.

I took a mini L ruler and placed it on the discs edge then measured the height at the center of the mold. I'm telling you the Roc3 is in the same ballpark as KC and DX Rancho and no where near Plus mold. I've got them all. I think it being JL could easily come out a hair more slanted then DX or KC as well.

The best measurement would be DX Roc3 to DX Rancho. I'm guessing they would be exact.

I agree DX roc3 to dx rancho would be a good comparison.

Would measuring to the middle of the mold be affected by the amount of dome the disc has? Not sure If I am picturing this right.

I guess it would, but I also set them up flat on the table and set a laser pointer flat against the disc to a point on the wall. The results were the same.

At least I really like the stamp in Roc3, Shark3, Mako3 and CH Tern.. my bro has an orange Mako3 and that thing is beautiful!

what's the difference?

I have a big bird roc 3 that I hate. How is the we run different?
difference in what? you mean between old rocs and new rocs? or FR Roc3 vs production Roc3? Whats a "we run"? just trying to get clarity so i can answer what you want.
Sounds like your just a Legacy Fan Boy trying to hype up the Legacy Shark
ftfy....ghost is no Roc even it it was developed from the same mold.
Roc3 is not plus mold. You're wrong, Horsman is right.
The gavel has made its decree, end of story on that one.

I throw a ching roc, sierra nevada roc, and a KC pro roc... The flatter the better...

A nice domey, overstable, grippy, durable kc/dx roc is a special disc. Not worth the time or money to me though.

three months ago, I would have gone with KC Pro Rocs, but the Roc3 has just continued to grow on me. I now have five (!) in the bag, all 180s...Glow for straight with an overstable finish, brand new stock Roc3 for the same shot with slightly less fade, beat-in Big Bird Roc3 for versatility (its the one I use the most) as it has decent turn and decent fade, still Pro Roc3 for glidey Roc lines and a DX Pumclops Roc3 for turnovers.

I'd be loathe to say the Roc3 is better than a KC Roc, but it suits my style better. There's a Roc out there for everyone, I assure you!
