[Putters] What you putt with and why

I put with 4 chains magnets because they worked..

.. but I've been in a funk for a while so I just switched to a pair of matching firm judges. Stay tuned..

I did the same, I have one Soft, which is money for shaping lines. Hit two baskets from like 40ish feet out. The firm is scary when its this cold out.

I don't understand how people have 10 of the same putter.

How do you know which one is your main putter?

I use n anode

I use roman numerals on mine to keep track of the stage of wear as well as which one i am grooving on.

I have fallen for the Pure, because it's super straight and accurate. Good for hard putts right at the chain, and floating straddle putts.

I carry a soft, medium, and Opto.

Have three softs and a RGL for practice.

I also just got a soft Sinus (that sounds gross) for OS putting duties. So far, it's a winner!

Thanks for all the responses. After feeling up as many putters as I could at the local store I narrowed it down to three choices. KC Pro Aviar, P2 Psycho and The Pure. In the end I went with what I know best. The Aviar. Bought five from the factory store. As well as a few more rocs and firebirds. Love the huge discounts and free shipping for buying multiple factory seconds. I've already found a taker for my old Judges. GAME ON.

I have and carry six Pures: 2 Zero Soft, 3 eze, and one RGL. The Softs are for stick landings on hills or cold weather. The eze are my main putters that I will cycle out as necessary. The RGL is for short forehand approaches and drives.

I love the grip on Vibram's Medium X-Link, especially in warmer weather. I like that they have a little give, but aren't floppy, and they're ultra durable: they'll basically last forever.

Yeah, I tried a chit ton of putters and decided that I liked base plastic ones best (S Magics son, what!?) but the problem is they get nicked up and gouged like crazy, clovered flight plates from putting your thumb in the same place, etc. I'm very tactile and I don't like distractions when I putt so instead of focusing on where I wanted to aim my fingers kept telling my brain about the imperfections I was feeling and that OCD was throwing off my game.

I didn't want to get a new Magic every time it got more roughed up than I could ignore because I didn't want to relearn a new disc so often so I scoped out the Summit b/c of the durability and before I knew it I was using the same putter for 3 years.

you carry 6 putters...? I hope some are just incase you lose others. save your back!

hahaha newb ;p

putters are pro bro.

Barry Schultz said something along the lines of "never putt with your approach disc and never approach with your putter." He carries 4+ putters (2 for putting and 2 for approaching...can't remember offhand if he carries anything else). I carry 6 putters total as well but only 2 are for putting.

I carry 4 putters, but it will be five once I get my SS Wiz beat in to straight. I had to retire my straight one, as it became my first ace disc. And then, when I get one beat to understable, I'll probably take out the Wedge and just carry five Wiz's.

I stumbled onto an Elite Z Banger GT Limited Edition and fell in love. Now I'm sitting on a stack of KC Aviars that won't get used LOL The banger is so money for me. My putter search is over.

I carry 3 KC Pro Aviars and a champ glow BB Aviar. 2 KCs are for putting and the third I am trying to beat in for the US, upshot slot. The champ BB is for drives only. For now I carry a DX Aviar for upshots or US approaches.

I prefer the Innova Birdie for the old-school "frisbee" feel. I really love them in Pro plastic; great grip in the hand and on the ground. They seem to stick better than other any other putter I've tried. Unfortunately, the Pro line is OOP and getting pricey in the marketplaces. I've been eperimenting more with other models to replace them in my bag, and am so far leaning to the Discraft X Soft Putt'r.

Pa4 = I like the smooth understable flight so for short putts its very straight and true

Pa1= Same thing but with a touch more stability

I like Prodigy plastic. the 400 is great in the summer 300 SE is great for the winter as it grips even when wet

Let's see...I carry a bunch in my bag as well...local courses are short and technical, half my bag is putters

!! Firm judge!! for putting, tho I can't seem to click with them for driving. Have a couple softs in the mail to see if they drive for me

Cryztal flx zone because it is super rad

Beat eze spike for turnover drives

Beat ringer for sidearm and straight

Fresh ringer for sidearm and straight with fade

Lately ive been using a soft suspect for running long putts sidearm

Ok I'm done now:)

PURES!!!! I freaking love them, have about 15. I prefer the older zero line, but I'm currently putting with a zero hard, use an opto for upshots and driving, and have a beat zero for understable duties. I also bag an old super pearly rhyno for when its really windy.

Warlock. Random selection. I had to retire my Soft Magnet after about 8 years of use, I just went to an online store and picked a SS Warlock. No real reason, but I like it and it works well for my putting needs.

I have a Neutron Ion and Advanced Soft Credo for driving.
