So, if you use a TL to develop FH throw technique then...

maybe a Stalker to develop forehand technique?

Im just curious as a lot of people talk about using a TL or other fairway driver to work on technique, but I imagine the disc of choice is a little different when talking forehand?

I am getting more and more comfortable with my RHBH technique, likely will remain my dominant style, but still want to get/keep forehand throws in my arsenol. Is it the same idea?

TL isn't a bad disc to learn FH, but you will need to move up in stability as you get better. I would say try out a firebird. I personally like to flick with a destroyer or banshee, depending on the distance, but I know firebirds are pretty universally liked for flicks.

I say the TL is better as a backhand disc, but I do have one friend that uses his FH and he realy likes it, so I would say it's all a mater of how you throw.

I would actually suggest the Teebird vice the TL for FH but it is just personal preference.

the day i got my TL, about a month ago, my technique improved so much, it helps you to relese it flat, i throw RHBH though

as much as I love the TL, i dont really see it as a good FH friendly disc especially once they beat in. You want something more overstable for a forehand. I use a Firebird on most shots but thats because I can snap them far. Teebird would be nice and straight. I would try a Banshee before a Firebird. When I first threw forehand i used an ESP Avenger a lot. If you are throwing for distance, start with a Wraith and work up to a Destroyer.

Well, I have been debating on this almost 2 fold, trying to keep myself from getting more discs than I need and I am going to go with a champ Teebird for forehand to start and a Flick for overhand (the 2nd fold I've been struggling with) and then maybe I will work that in later.

I'll say this for the TL, if you can FH it on what ever line you want then you're going to vastly improve your ability to FH more stable and faster discs.

I've been using a Champion Glow TL in a glow point series and about 1/4 of the holes I FH the TL. Too much snap and it turns over so its taught me to be very controlled in how I release my FH drives. And as a result my FH lines in general are much more accurate.

Got a teebird comming. If I like it, might buy a couple more from someone here.

good point , if you can control something thats almost perfectly stable(TL) on every kind of line throwing forehand, thats saying something. The TL would be a good learning tool to help with the hardest part of forehand throwing, which imo is having angle control.

And mutt when you said more stable what do you mean ?

I used my Z Stalker for the first time today and decided to FH it on a couple of holes. That thing went so far, straight, and accurate. I will most likely use it on most 300' uphill shots now, since those are mainly the only holes I FH on.
