[Innova] RHFH power thower need help finding discs to throw

I feel confident in stating that we all could improve our form regardless of throwing style, so don't take offense. Being able to forehand under stable plastic is just yet another tool in the "toolbox", learn it and prosper.

Completely agree with you blackcatsmith. I know I constantly work on it, both BH and FH.

From experience I'd say its good to have both a power game and a finesse game. I hurt my shoulder 2 Februarys ago when I slipped while throwing a power drive. While that injury healed I had to learn how to throw flippy stuff so I wasn't throwing so hard.

In retrospect that was the best thing that ever happened to my game. I now have a power FH game and a finesse FH game. Its not only good for your game to have both, but I agree with Fraser, its good for your body to not have to throw so hard. I high recommend learning both styles.

In my experience, of all the ridiculously overstable drivers, Apes have the most high speed turn. Champ Max, Z Nuke OS, Stilettos and C-Line PD2s can all handle more raw power and speed than Apes. With that said, if you are rolling your wrist over enough you will flip them all.

In my opinion you should pick up a neutral fairway driver. Eagles, Teebirds, Leopards and XL's can all fly wonderful lines with minimal power.

I highly doubt i have crappy/****ty form if im throwing 4-450 and shooting pretty good scores... i can throw a destroyer i just prefer my boss. I may need to work on it a little but i just am asking what are some good sidearm distance discs to throw that arnt overstable. Maybe i should practice my backhand

I don't highly doubt that at all... Just like you can throw 400 bh with terrible form. You more than likely have bad form and compensate for it by throwing overstable discs. Do your discs ever wobble when thrown forehand? Can you forehand understable discs with no wobble and make them s curve and not cut roll?

Listen to this guy, his FH game is really solid.

My disc never wobble and yes i can throw a sidewinder an a vulcan.. i know my form isnt perfect but whos is? Ive even thrown a sidewinder over 500ft (little down hill) im looking for disc advice not haters lol... looking for a good fh disc with a 11-13 speed with -1 to -2 turn

Part of the confusion from us comes from your distinguishing FH discs from BH discs. There just aren't any specific discs for FH or BH. That part of the equation has more to do about feel in the hand. We can name our favorites in this speed range but that tells you only which discs we like. I honestly want to help but as long as your form is clean, I can't recommend any discs to you other than giving you a list from innova's site. Only you would be able to figure out what works best for you.

Now for my innova disc recommendation based on your specific question: any of the Terns can fit the bill. They also have a narrower rim too so it might be comfortable for you as well. They fly exactly the same for me whether it be FH or BH albeit with opposite spin.

The Discraft Flash(10,5,-2,3) is a great FH disc for me along with the Tern, always within 20ft when doing field work and by far my longest 2 FH drivers. I kick it up to the Starfire/Boss or Firebird when I need more stability.

Well said Fraser. To OP we can't give you anymore insight than the descriptions on the websites.

I can give personal recommendations on disc feel: Regardless of mold, I tend to prefer flat stiff discs with a low shoulder for stable to overstable. I prefer a little bit gummier discs for turnovers.

According to DGC these are all the Drivers with a -1 or -2 HSS:
Destroyer, Boss, Krait, Wraith, Dominator, Tern, Trespass, Flash, Nuke, Slayer, Archon, Astra-X, Beeline, Bolt, Crank, D2, D3, DD2, Flow, Groove, Havoc, Hurricane, King, Legenda, Rampage, Renegade, Rogue, Samurai, TD2, Teedevil, Torrent, Wahoo.

Looks like you may need to just throw a dart and start somewhere.

I'm only a hater if you can prove me wrong lol. Let me see a vid of you throwing a sidewinder 500 feet forehand in the air

You have to have pretty perfect form, (at least on said throw) to throw a sidewinder 500ft FH. Unless, the downhill is steeper than you are letting on.

I don't think I have ever seen anyone FH 500'... I can very rarely get one out to 450'. I want to see this 500' sidewinder throw as well. If you can throw it that far you need to get a Katana that will give you more D with a similar flight pattern.

You want advice and then bash those trying to help you improve your game? Thanks to this website and the advice people gave me I went from being a garbage dump rec player to someone who now can probably compete at the top of rec, with little to no practice too. Instead of getting offensive why not listen to the people giving good advice. It does sound like you have bad FH form and I doubt you can throw a Sidewinder 500' even if downhill because there are pros that are miles ahead better than you are that can't do that. If you can, you better start doing some pro level tourneys. Don't go seeking advice and then getting pissy b/c you don't like what you hear. If you are throwing 500' ft then it is a big hill that plays out like you're actually throwing 250-300' I have a buddy who throws FH like you and he torques the hell out of an ape to get the distance on it you talk about. He also has no control on the distance and where it goes. Just getting raw distance doesn't mean anything when you need controlled distance

Im not trying to bash anyone ive gotten great advice from some people.. my original question was to see what discs some other fh power throwers were tossing. Just because most pros dont throw FH 450ft doesnt mean its not possible and i never said i throw with great accuracy or consistency. Thank you everyone for the help. Ill shoot a video next chance i get.

everyone relax

who cares if he can or can't throw a certain distance
