[MVP] MVP Plasma!

I'm in the same boat with needing to throw. I'm overthinking what disc and plastic combinations to use in my bag when I can't even try them out. It may be driving me insane

preach it. I am just dreaming of how this 150g plasma ion will fly.

Ive been off the Ion for a little while, but between the feel, look, and flight this thing will be hanging around between the envy and Atom. Ive been showing it around a ton and the common reaction is definitely one of being very impressed.

I went to my local store specifically to check out Plasma yesterday, even though I knew I wouldn't buy (never tried an Ion, and I like the putters I have). Holy crap this stuff is SEXY and comes in so many different looks. They had a green swirly plastic that had very little shimmer, a metal flake electric blue, and a swirly and pearly blurple. The amazing thing was that with my eyes closed I couldn't tell which was which. I've never seen such a wide range of different looking plastic that felt so similar. I didn't buy, but it took a major effort of will not to walk out with 4 different looking discs. I cannot wait to start laying dye down on this stuff to see how it comes out!

It takes dye VERY well ;)

Don't be dumb. Its by far the best looking though.

Yeah yeah BM, we know you hate MVP. Move along, nothing to troll here.

Then why do I throw a couple discs from them? I'm just being realistic here, I'm not a fanboy like you. If anyones opinion doesn't count, it's yours.

Proton and Neutron are slick but durable, Soft versions are floppy but grip better. Electron is really nice and grippy but terrible durability. Could Plasma be both grippy and durable?

I just call it like I see it, It's called reality my boy.

Aim's description is accurate

I do have some proton discs that have a much better grip but I have no idea why that is.

You can make lame attempts at being a condescending jackass all you want, but the fact is that you have a long track record of bashing MVP at every opportunity. Another fact is that I have been critical of MVP at times, and to be honest if I'm a "fanboy" of any brand it would be Discraft. They basically monopolize my lineup of most commonly thrown mids. My drivers are split between 3 companies, with a couple others jumping in at times, and it remains to be seen if the Atom can kick Aviars out of my bag. So tell me again who's a fanboy? Oh that's right, little trolls like you never let facts get in the way of the story you want to tell.

I can't say much about Proton. I only have one disc in it, as I don't really like translucent or transparent plastics. I throw my Neutron discs year round, and don't notice any issues. When it's cold, Star and ESP don't exactly grip all that well either, and I don't play in the rain, so I haven't had that issue with Neutron. Electron isn't durable? Isn't that the point of baseline plastic? Now, if your criticism had been that Electron seems to be overpriced I'd be more likely to agree, but I'm not ready to make a judgement about durability or price based on one disc that I didn't get much of a chance to throw before the short cold days of winter arrived.

I hate to tell you this pal, but how you see things is clearly NOT reality. In fact, it's usually referred to by stable people as "an opinion". You may want to seek professional help for your delusions of grandeur.

I'd just like to interject something here.

"Plasma is the first good MVP plastic" sounds like trolling to me.

"Plasma is the first MVP plastic that appeals to me" would be more of a fair statement, to each his own.

The other plastics would only be "bad" if no one liked them, or if MVP's goal was to please one thrower in the world, one that doesn't like them.

Looking forward to some runs of drivers in this stuff.

I apologize for my tone. However, maybe it would be possible to let people be excited for something without the trolls coming out from under their bridges and acting foolish? Maybe?

MVP fan baiting has become such a cliche that there are only 2-3 posters still doing it. At this point it says more about them than anything.

That's certainly a long response. I'll simplify it better for you, MVP sucks! :p

Haha, no really now, Different people have different standards. I expect to see high grip and high durability in my plastic while being semi stiff. Best plastic I've had has been Prodiscus Premium. That stuff is the shizzzz. Been throwing a single Jokeri Premi for years now with no damage and a constant awesome grip no matter the temp without being floppy.

So based on that until MVP comes up with a blend as good as that they don't have a good plastic blend. Maybe Plasma can be pretty good, but from the early reviews it seems middle of the road.

For my personal taste they make my favorite plastic I've tried, and I've tried all but a few. Proton,Neutron,Electron, and now Plasma. Love em all.

I play in the rain here in Georgia, and have no issue with the grip of proton or neutron when wet. Last Sunday I tied a bud that usually beats me by 5-6 strokes in the rain. He throws mostly innova...

Just seen the Plasma Anode teasers. A Plasma Atom would be sweet
