2015 Beaver State Fling presented by Keen Footwear

I'm watching some friends' scores and, though it's easy to determine their "to par" scores, it's distracting to see the disparity between their "to par" scores to their level of play. For example, my buddy Kansas Chris is leading advanced with 959 and 1016 rated rounds, so seeing +14 is visually jarring. Not world shaking, but definitely a WTF? moment.

Fair enough, but there's no "adding 14 throws to their total" going on. Perhaps it's just a semantics thing, but saying that implies their scores are wrong somehow. I'll say again, par is meaningless. There's a reason the "To Par" column disappears when the results become official.

Of course, the biggest distraction is that leader boards designate the player's relation to par. So there's an expectation that I can't easily suppress -- gonna have to work on that ...

will's game is on this year...he ha always been super talented but he seems exceptionally focused in recent events. If he starts canning some of those longer putts, he will be tough to beat today

I can't put my phone down to stop watching the live scores. This is gonna be a great final round.

Remember what I said about Paul playing perfect? :wall:

^Yea, exactly.

Ricky and Will are going birdie for birdie. Holy crap I wish this was on TV.

^We all do!!

Can't imagine the pressure. 3 way tie for the lead, and it's birdie or die!

Paul is now -10. I think he's going to finish at -13 or -14 for the day. Possibly in a playoff for 1st, if not in 1st by himself.

Aaaand here it goes

With Paul not being on the lead card, this is going to go down to the wire. One can only imagine what would be going through Will's head if he looked up and saw that Paul was tied with him or one stroke behind going into the last few holes. Just "Man, McBeth s on a tear today. He's tied for the lead right now." Would be enough to shatter my confidence and have me griplock right into the next tree.
