[Question] What was the first disc you ever threw?

When I first played in 1994 it was my Ultimate disc (Discraft Ultra-Star I believe). Then someone gave me a Discraft Comet (or was it a Cyclone?) several years later.

First disc was probably a Wham-o 80 mold on the beach as a kid.
First golf disc was an Wham-o 86 stiffy in '89 (maybe '88).
First golf disc after I rediscovered the sport in '01 was a DX Stingray.

I was kayaking in Northern PA, and found a dx shark with an Evangoli Park Stamp, a buddy gave me a DX Birdie... once I figured out there were courses around, my addiction was born.

the first disc I owned was a DX leopard, otherwise it must have been a...well something that was included with this CHEAP set my friend got I think with his instep basket it had a "pluto" something, not sure if that was a putter or not.

I must say, at least I only got a DX leopard and not a star like my friend since he's lost 2 star leopards and I only lost the 1 DX, still bothers me though cuz I liked how it looked with that turquoise leopard stamp.

It was a DX Wraith. I had no one really to guide me much into what to buy...and so I saw this uber fast disc called the wraith with a cool stamp and thought 'that will work'. I had also picked up a DX Stingray at the same time and ended up using it most of the time for my first few rounds until I picked up a more usable driver for a beginner.

I threw a DX Orc like a regular frisbee, thinkn it was a peace of cake to get it out there. It looked like a wounded duck and maybe went 100'. Landed in a tree

my first was a DX Valkyrie. I basically played every shot on a huge hyzer. Then I really tried to throw it straight and it flew way off to the right into 30 ft wide thorns bushes.

When I was in College I had two discs, a Phantom + and an Aviar XD. I'm pretty sure I had the Phantom + first. They were both still in the trunk of the 1980 Buick Century when it got totaled, and I never went to the junkyard to pick that stuff up. I left my cassette copy of Rush's Moving Pictures in there as well. As a result I start to miss that old Phantom + whenever I hear "Red Barchetta" on the radio.

I bought a DX Dragon, DX Roc and a DX Rhyno to go and play a round with my wife who had a DX Leopard and a DX Rhyno.

My addiction was born that day as I threw my Dragon sky high, my Roc was too overstable and my Rhyno couldn't find the chains.

Now I don't even throw DX plastic... and my new KC Pro Roc is a little flippy for me.

ArchAngel....isn't that everyone's first disc? <chuckles>
