American Disc Golf Tour

Looks like they're planning to mark a lot of areas OB to make it more challenging.

With their nebulous and incomplete OB rules, that sounds really challenging...

Player 1: "I'm OB, where do I throw from now?"
Player 2: "I don't know."
Player 3: "Neither do I, what does the rule say?"
Player 2: "It doesn't."
Player 1: "Uh oh."

TD: "You're all disqualified for slow play. Get off the course."

This is the Donald Trump of disc golf tournaments.

What an absolute, 100%, unequalled joke on every single front. I want this to bankrupt everyone involved and get them out of the business.

Odd choice to let one of the top pros who might be playing in your tournament, help design the temporary layout.

You don't think there might be some bias on certain shots/lines?

I mean don't get me wrong, he obviously knows what makes a good course, but he's not a professional designer.

top pros are among the best to help design what will test them. They are not the baggers like me. Ever hear of Nicklaus designing a ball golf course

If you can't see Ricky's post:
Just got back from visiting Cobblestone Park in Blythewood SC. This will be home of the American Open 2016 Disc Golf tournament. Wow this place is epic! I have played a lot of disc golf on beautiful ball golf courses. I have to say this is one of the most beautiful pieces of property for a Disc Golf course. I am glad to say I had the opportunity to help design this gem of a property! Not to mention that I am very excited to play and represent Disc Golf and my awesome sponsor Latitude 64 in this event! If you have any doubt of the legitimacy of the event as I did before I made the trip down to Cobblestone, take my word for it, the venue is epic, and is more than ready to showcase our awesome sport on ESPN! Hope you you can join me in this historic event for our great sport. ‪#‎espn‬ ‪#‎discgolf‬ ‪#‎sockibomb‬ ‪#‎latitude64‬ ‪#‎southcarolina‬ ‪#‎coursedesign‬ ‪#‎epiccourse‬ ‪#‎americandiscgolf‬

I think its nice to see that he admits he also had trepidation about the event.

Wonder if this will make more top pros show up?

I admit, I've been skeptical of the Am. DG Tour (and still am). If they pull it off, more power to them. I've played casual (and maybe a few tournament) rounds with the organizers and have enjoyed them. My perception is if you have a dream and a passion to promote something, you often fail; but succeeding once can really be super. Salient just didn't seem to catch fire; still a spark for adgt might still ignite. Jury still out.
