[Recommend] 3 Discs you seem to Click with the most + Why

Raptor: I have always bagged some for of beefy control driver (Firebird, Motion) but I was never enamored with their abilities until we obtained the Raptor from Daredevil. This disc has changed my open field approach to many holes. If the line is there... I'm going to spike a Raptor. The ArmorFlex plastic hits and sticks better than nearly all plastics I've thrown and the LSS aggressiveness of the Raptor just makes it want to dig into the ground. Couple that with the really unique and old school mold shape and I just am in love. Insane HSS provides carefree forehands (even with my awful form). I can also coax sneaky distance out of the Raptor on sweeping hyzers and overhands. Overall, I am proud to say I will never throw another OS utility driver. I've found my match.

Love the flight of the Raptor, just need some stiffer plastic! :D Armor or Fossil possible in the future?

Armor is certainly possible.
Fossil is unlikely.

You folks who don't like the gummy plastic just need to stick with it. I have never had any issues with mine flexing on me mid release!

I have a bunch of winners, but I'll base it simply on how quickly I clicked with them.

star TL. for some reason it was so predictable (mainly bh). lines, speed control, stability.

champ atlas. had a star atlas that first got me hooked, but became too flippy. Champ is super easy in all aspects.

fuse. love the super glide and ease of throwing. perfect stability. suits my touch game.

stuff that took awhile for me to love: sidewinder, nova, teebird, trespass, katana, roc (bead).

Pure - My pink opto has been in the bag for 4 years and does whatever I want
Patriot - I never fully clicked with the leopard. This is the perfect fairway driver in my opinion
Wraith - I don't have the arm for a Destroyer, Nothing beats a seasoned Wraith

Wizard - Love at first putt (putting only), and I'm still totally and completely smitten. The hardest part was figuring out the blend I liked best.

Zone - I may actually throw this disc more in a round than my putter. If it's under 250', I'm throwing a Zone. Best approach disc in the game and one of the few "standards" that isn't an Innova mold.

PD - Super reliable in all conditions and the best control driver for my game. The S-Line plastic takes forever to season, and it holds its sweet spot for years. This disc has been a constant in my bag longer than every other mold I carry with no chance of being pulled.

I just started using the Tern, and really liking it. Its like a longer distance Valkyrie, maybe more turn, haha on the Tern....

Funny you say that. The wing shapes are identical. I really think they just made a 12 speed Valk. The puzzling part is the glide difference. In numbers anyway because I have never bought the 4 glide on a Valk.

Teebird - Just always clicked with them. Want to go straight, and fade just enough to be reliable but not enough to have to account for really. If you mess up and throw slightly hyzer it pushes forward, and if you throw slightly anny it corrects as well. Beat/mellow ones do amazing annies. Stable ones can be flicked dead straight or hold super predictable hyzers that glide out the same angle. So easy to know what line and angle to throw it.

Destroyer - Varation is a plus and a minus, but when you find the right ones for golf distance for your arm speed they are perfect. Perfect rim size/shape for FH and BH, just enough turn to prolong the flight and ride hyzers for a long time (or allowing annies), and enough fade that you know where it'll land as soon as you've released it. Perfect golf driver flight. I don't need to bag 100% Destroyers, but the "right ones" for me are great.

Anode - A normal stable flight putter in premium plastic that has glide and distance of baseline. Consistent to buy, and don't beat up. Better in wind than an Aviar. Don't know if it's the gyro or what it is, but they hold (mellow) release angle while pushing forward until the very end of the flight, and then start acting on it more as they slow down. Typically I'm trying to do straight-ish shots with putters with a mild shape, so it wanting to always go straight and deviate less than other discs makes it so much more forgiving.

Pure - Fits great in my hand for putting and is a great thrower too. Carry 3 Zero Mediums (1 for putting, one trashed one for dead straight to understable, one fresh for straight to small fade).

Teebird - Been throwing them for 10+ years. Love throwing beat, heavy Star ones (just picked a great one this week) for straight shots and then they are great on a hyzer. Reliable in wind without being overstable, never flip over for me.

Firebirds - My "utility" disc. Forgiving for torque-monkey forehands. Great at thumbers, forehand rollers and the skippy backhand.

Voodoo - Best and most comfortable putter I've ever had the privledge of throwing. Easy to control and bank some serious money shots from distance.

Warship - This is my standard go to disc anymore. It has replaced my claymore/truth craziness and works beautifully. 300' of awesomeness for a noodlearm like me is impressive plus its predictable flight pattern lets me fade it right where I want it consistently.

Beast - just a standard DX beast. Doesn't sound like much and in all reality there is many better discs out there but to me who plays a daily course with 3 decent water holes this is my go to and often sacrificial disc on those holes. Has a great flight path and can be used to cut threw wind that flys up off the bank. Plus this is one of the 5 discs walmart in town stocks so I can get them for cheap and in bulk. :)

ROC3-Just a great all around disc. With just one disc, it's easy to shape the lines needed, or if you're like me, I've got a beat KC Pro Roc3 and a fresh KC Pro Roc3, along with a proto roc3 and a champ roc3 for just about every thing I could need. I throw mids probably 65% of the time whether driving or throwing from the field.

Is the KC Pro Roc3 you're talking about the Pro Roc3 that was available at the factory store? I am a Roc3 junkie and if those were any good and ever came back in stock I was going to order a few.

On to my three:

Roc3- My go to mid range disc. I have a perfectly seasoned Mcpro that is pretty much my favorite disc. Also have a Champion and a Star Roc3 all for different shots.

Pro TL- As soon as I got it I was hooked. It flies like a perfectly seasoned teebird right out of the box.

Valkyrie- My first go to driver and one I still am a big fan of. Its been fighting with my Saints lately for use but always seems to stay in the bag and still gets thrown often.

Yeti Aviar. I got one of the first runs when they came out and have been throwing them ever since. Best driving putter I have ever thrown and money inside the circle too. Sadly, the new runs are getting a little waxy instead of the soft butter I love but still great.

Teebird. Been throwing them forever. Predictable, easy to throw and they go as far as I need them to.

PD. See Teebird, but add 50'.

Polecat. Nothing makes me happier than throwing a Polecat. Floaty approaches, turnovers, high floaty hyzers, spike hyzers...you can do anything with it. Even long range putts. Plus, you get the inevitable, "Is that a ******* Polecat?" when playing with new folks.

Star Teebird. Point and shoot. Consistent. Awesome.

Firebird. Just an awesome, awesome utility disc.

Wizard - comfortable in the hand, great range of plastics, good combo of glide/stability, amazing for drives and upshots
Roc - Stable, versatile, and great for cycling. My favorite mid range disc.
Teebird - Workhorse disc, predictable, and extremely accurate.

I can tackle most courses with decent results using just those three discs.

RDG Scale---any plastic will do, but I prefer the original hard Fossil. I have hyped this discs since the day I got the first proto and for good reason: it works. I've given away countless Scales and every single person who has got one has kept it in the bag. Slow, overstable, with a Wizard rim. What more could you want?

Rancho Roc---Best mid range ever. There is no such thing as a bad Roc, especially a Rancho. No idea why anyone would not bag one. Threw my first Roc over ten years ago and haven't looked back.

Westside Giant---the better Destroyer. I love Giants, and I love having enough power to really make them work for me. Count it.

Firebird: Thumbers and Tomahawks with it are awesome and used far too often to get out of the woods. Also my first forehand disc. Not great for form, but now that my form is better, it is the most trusty disc I can really lay into forehand. I even throw it backhand on occasion (especially is slightly less stable Gstar) now that I have enough power to get it farther than 250.

Envy: If the throw is 220-280, this is disc I want to throw. It doesn't get thrown too often per round, but when I need a disc I know won't go right, but not too much fade wither, this is what I reach for. I should call it my CTP disc, b/c if it is within range of this disc, it wants to win me something.

Rhyno: Other than my putting putter, this is used more than any other disc. My putting distance maxes at about 50 (and much less than that where I expect to make it) so I am more likely to throw the Rhyno at any distance over that. I can get it up to 230, but rarely try to max out this disc. Instead, I just like to throw this on approach and know exactly what to expect, which is a healthy fade but nothing crazy.

Thunderbird - Roc3 - Rhyno

I consistently get cleaner shots and more birdies with these three discs. They are the core of my bag and pretty much my whole bag. Everything else feels like a utility disc and works around those three.

Assassin- The first driver that I ever threw and then stood there with my jaw on the teepad. Still have my first two which are now sweet rollers, my bag will never be without. Nor will my wall.

Chief-Second disc to make my jaw drop. Also the disc I have come nearest getting an ace with. Super flexible utility disc for me.

Raptor- It always goes exactly where I want it then hits the ground and sticks. Never really liked the firebird feel, but always stuck with it for the flight. I also like the flex, I can still get it to skip on a shallow hyzer, but on a spike hyzer it just sits.

Firebird was an instant click, I got my first champ at PIAS and now I have 8. OH shots? Firebird! FH 400 or less? Firebird. Headwind shots? Firebird! It it amazing and I always have 3 ITB.

Harp was another that I really liked from the first I ever owned. I now have one in all 4 available plastics and keep a BT soft and either a TP or VIP with me depending on weather. Great off the tee, to approach, FH and BH and if the wind gets way up I will putt with it.

Yao would have to be my 3rd, I thought you had to have a Roc or Buzzz when I started but I never loved either. Tuth was closer to what I wanted. I tried a Cro because the small diameter felt good to me.Then I found the Yao, predictable and stable like a Roc, but with the sharper edge and beadless like a Truth. Smaller and controllable like the Cro. I nailed my first ace with one and still bag two. They just fly fantastic for me.

I have to say though I have never found an actual putting putter where I have just been like Yes! This is the one!

The search continues.
