Prepare to be shocked. Lawyers are present here. They're not practicing disc golf law, but they passed the bar and are practicing. Disc golf...It's not just for the unemployed and stoned anymore.

Lol. Then they're def just lurking. Or saving their writing skills for their briefs.

Not 17.

He seemed super irritated with the crowd all day and was relatively vocal about it. I think it was another case where he hit a spectator that set it off (Hole 5 second shot maybe?). Plus the typical old man ranting/mumbling/etc afterwards. Seems to be his MO when things don't go his way.

I just remember it standing out and being a bit surprising to see somebody act that way at such a high profile event.

I was right there all day any didn't see anything wrong with how he handled himself?

I'm a big fan of JohnE's game but his antics are getting pretty old. I saw him act a fool off camera at an event I spectated this year. It seems like he's the kind of guy who is great to be around when hes playing well but turns into a bit of a drama queen when it goes wrong

you realize probably half of the open field is like this right? It's magnified when on center stage. Like Nico's ground slamming or Mcbeth's whining after bad shots last year. This stuff sounds terrible when seen on smashboxx or youtube but anyone who has played in tournaments witnesses it all the time. That doesnt excuse it..but Johne and Paul are both good guys. Calling anyone "the worst" for stuff like cursing, crying when playing poorly, or any display of poor sportsmanship when in pressure situations is a little unfair.

You should have heard Philo after he hit the tree on his drive on 13 or 14 or whatever hole that was on the back 9. It took him 3 holes to stop talking about it. I get it..it's frustrating.

During one of the smashboxx after shows terry commended Philo for being patient and not getting frustrated.

'Twas Classic

I'm well aware of all of the Jerm, Nikko, Feldy, Philo antics, I hate it. You can be upset all you want, but if you can keep a cool head when you're playing well, do the same when you're playing like sh!t. They make it miserable to watch and I'm sure even more miserable to play with. And it's not like they have to be happy go lucky when they're playing bad, just keep your mouth shut and act like a professional

i get it. I agree that in a perfect world the top pros would be the paradigm of professionalism. Im just not going to hold it against them if they slip up and act human every now and then.

My biggest issue is when it persists for an extended period..which for some of them obviously it does.

all of the people I listed do it in every tournament

Funny!

Seriously though, what if he was checking in to make sure the cupcake prank was ready to go off, using the bathroom as an excuse.

I thought about that too, and I'm surprised the conspiracy theorists among us haven't taken up the cause. I would like to think that he wouldn't risk his first NT title for a prank, but he is playing a game for a living. ;)

The one I know is quite active on here. I imagine they're not giving legal advice because this subject is pathetically juvenile.

What?! I have never once turned off a Youtube video just because I happen to see one of those guys losing their cool.

I like seeing them battle their own emotions on the course, as long as they're not taking it out on anyone else. Are they going to get their emotions back under control? Will they play better or worse after their own breakdown? Are the other players on the card mentally focused enough to ignore it, or even use it to their advantage? I think it adds another dimension.

Why would anyone want to watch a bunch of robots moving around the course with no emotion?

I love bag kicking and hollering and all manner of frustrations being vented. What is not cool is intentionally playing poorly because you had a few bad breaks. That is where JohnE crosses the line.
