[MVP] MVP Disc Sports (Official Thread) (Part IV)

Welp, went to an out of the way PIAS that has MVP and no Resistors/Fireballs so ended up with a 177 N Vertex (Circuit stamp) and a 165 Plasma Wave (you guys make this sound like a bomber so decided to pick it up). Still going to keep it to Envies, Relay/Volt for a while though.

Also, almost grabbed a Fission Photon 165g, major pop top, which is kind of the first I've ever seen on a Gyro.

You're going to like the Wave something like a longer Relay and straighter Volt right out of the box. I think it would fill in your bag real nice. I'm more of an Inertia guy myself but I'm not carrying a Volt right now.

Filled out a questionnaire from mvp yesterday for a chance to win a basket and also give my 2 cents worth. They were adamant about currently working on overstable putters and mids. They realize the demand is high for them and want to get them right. They also mentioned working on a more durable blend of Electron plastic as well. Should be a fun and interesting year for gyro heads.

I haven't thrown a Defy, but from what I understand in others' comments, the Defy is more overstable than the Photon, rather than being between the Photon and Wave. Others' experiences may be different on that, of course.

To me they are about the same. The Defy might have less fade, but is every bit HSS as the Photon, if not more so.

Unless you get a mutant, Defy/Crave are very HSS and not a lot of LSS(0 2). Photon/Servo have a bit of turn and more LSS(-.5 3). more or less anyway...

The Wave is definitely good for some cheap distance on like the 5 open holes I play regularly.

fizz volt is cheap and cheating distance i barely rip on it and pewwwww 300 the l64 saint is similar

Hmmm I think that may be the answer to your Sidewinder problem. Powers down or up nicely with a controllable turn and low fade. Easier to throw then it's speed rating implies.

no one around here even seems to know what a fr era sw even flies like. i forgot asking dgcr for advice is about accurate as asking someone who uses a speed 13 driver for every shot
