I bag both Soft Electron and Soft Neutron. My Soft Neutron is from the very first run and weights 166g. It is now getting a bit more HSS compared to new but really it holds any line that I give it. I have and use several Soft Electrons.

That is excellent thanks are the Soft E close to N or more like soft N for hss at 20'?

I would say that the Soft E is pretty close to the stability of N but with way more glide. Perhaps because of the plastic I am able to grip and rip every so slightly more than a Neutron but I can get it to go further. But like N, Soft E is dead straight with minimal fade. I can hyzer flip Soft E easier than N which I would have to throw flat or with a very slight hyzer to flat. Both have a .5 to 1.0 HSS compared to Soft N for me. Soft N is the most stable except for the rare Proton Envies that has a significant bead. I have one that is the most stable of my Envy lot, but I don't expect to find another one anytime soon.

Yeah I gave up my worn N regrettably and my soft N happily for that Whitler.. I found the soft N less hss and more LSS than my proton.. Sounds like soft E is for me. I can deal with less fade happily but the front end stability is what I dropped my Rhyno for. I need to try some before I get addicted to my soft E atom.

Anyone use the Atom as a windy day putter?

Bahh stop making new discs mvp, I want to bag all the putters!

Have you seen any of Matt Dollar's videos on YouTube? He throws the Soft E Envy off the tee and for putting. You can get a sense there of what it can do. Many of his shots are money.

Atom as windy putter sounds devastating. I use a RDG Serpent or Element Iridium for windy putts - Atom would be risky - unless its a short stab in the chains youre going for, I can see the speed and somewhat low glide of the atom be fine for short windy putts, but anything over 15-20 ft would not work well for me. Wind for me = Serpent or Iridium

That was my experience so far up short it's a disc I want to find bag space for kinda like the Proxy but I hate packing one trick ponies, it's the new toy.... That's a space I usually fill with my Tangent but the Vertex has been surprisingly good, solid short range stable, I thought the Axis would have been better.

The Vertex is weird.. For something that understable it sure loses height on a 45 degree downhill and fights against a headwind... it helps that it's 10g heavier then my putters.

I would have thought the Envy filled that bill too but I suppose it is shallow. Hmmm wide diameter deeper Envy.. Better go back to the mvp feedback thread.

So seriously which MVP / Axiom product is the best putter for wind? What are other gyro heads using? I've got a summer tourney series and a few courses are windy!

Not nearly deep enough especially in electron

The Wizard is a deep dish putter. The Anode is the same height as a Wizard. The difference between an Anode and Ion is the Ion is beaded.

I am guessing you want a pop top instead of a deep dish. Try Plasma plastic, sometimes you can find pop tops in those.

If it were any deeper wouldn't it be considered a lid? You talking polecat depth? I guess the dagger and the shield are pretty deep as well

A deep wide Envy that's what they need to make next, the super lid.. Put a DGCR stamp on it and call it our disc. Use fission plastic in white and a pink or yellow rim. They could call it the...?

On a similar note I couldn't resist any longer ordered a set of three soft electron Envy's all 166g you can never have too many putters.. I will be checking the mail the wife might not agree

I putt with an Ion for all my putts. Never had any issues in the wind, but I don't see a ton of it in the Charlotte area.

It was windier when I lived up north. Ions still did good. Envy does a little better in a strong wind.

More about technique than which mold IMO. Knowing how to play the wind is vital, e.g. putting high with a tailwind and low into a headwind.

I'm a p2 Guy. I don't consider that a lid. The electron ions feel a tad shallower than judges in electron. I just need that dagger,p2 depth. Something you can eat oatmeal out of.

I could see that. The P2 has a unique high shoulder rise which I can see in the hand it feels deeper. I have one to compare. You can still eat quite a bit of oatmeal out of an Ion. At least enough for a well balanced breakfast :D
