hit my 500th  tonight!!
halfway there and five courses from my goal of 150 courses by years end.

I'm nearly 100 courses ahead of you and 13  behind! Hoping to raid the northern CO area a few more times before year's end.

And to those complaining about distance to courses... I have one crappy one in town and 45 miles to a few more crappy ones.

:( I read all your IDGC and I feel like we liked them opposite. But i think we both agree that that place is epic.

Interested to see you rated W.R. Jackson highest of the 3. That's my opinion, too, even though my puny arm is way out of scale to it. And it puts me in a very small minority among the disc golfers around here.

Yeah, I think Steady is always the middle one, or top, but WR or warner are going to be swapped no matter what.

WR Jackson is, in my opinion, a much better course than the other 2. Ed has the Lake for a few holes which is a bonus over WR, but WR's shot requirements are what disc golf is all about. Warner is a distant 3rd.

But all the courses are 4.5-5 discs worth... and the whole experience is a 5 for sure!

Yeah I felt I had to give one a 5 one a 4.5 and one a 4, just to put them in order the best. I think they are all awesome, I just think Warner was the most meh of all them, as it's kind of a mix of the other two without the awe of either of them.

I thought the Jackson course was the best designed and the Steady Ed course was the most fun, they both got 4.5 from me with the Warner course just behind them at a 4.

Whenever I get to reviewing warner, it will be given a 4 as well. Gave the other two both 4.5 for the exact same reason. WR is a great design but lacks the fun that Steady Ed has. Great piece of property and I'm glad it's in my home state.

Yeah. I moved to Ann Arbor in 1987, and played a lot of rounds out at Rolling Hills, waiting for Hudson Mills, etc to open. It was only 9 holes back then, but at least it was a decent, wooded nine.

You must have made it down to Niles for a few rounds. That was a pretty cool course, when it 1st opened. Still is I suppose, I haven't played it in awhile.

I think I last played Madeline Bertrand in about 2000. Fun course, at least back then. Some new alternate holes were brand new and added some challenge.

When that course was first installed, I think the world's record distance holder was with an XD...

I had no time for Warner, but now have an excuse to go back. Just a great place. Plan on bringing the tent and smoker next time. Need a long weekend to really give all three a good workout. We're lucky to be able to play that complex.

This is like choosing between beautiful women. Depending on what gets your juices flowing and what matters most to you... we could all juggle these 3 and come out with different results that are equally valid depending on one's perspective.

No doubt the Jackson is more challenging, but Steady Ed has all kinds of variety, elevation, and can be configured to increase the challenge... plus it has some nice water shots that Jackson and Warner can't touch, and it seems they thought of every conceivable thing. It was just so complete,... it's one of the best all around DG experiences that I've ever had. While I appreciated the placement Jackson requires, I simply enjoyed myself more on Steady Ed. That said, I actually gave Jackson a 5 at first, but backed it off to 4.5 after about a week of after thought, because I to be a 5 for me, I need to want to play the course repeatedly.

Since we're telling IDGC stories...
When I played the Ed, the first of the 3 courses I played that day, I park jobbed Hole 1... absolutely parked it. When I got to my disc, I looked up and there was a rainbow in the sky overhead. I thought, that can't be a coincidence... I thanked Ed for the wonderful day and the park job.

I'm just dabbling. Disc Golf - just a part of my life.

Dude you almost average 6 thumbs up a review. congratz. I was really confused that i beat apdryva because everytime I look at one of his reviews he has like 10  but averages 3.8 and I got 4.1

:D

Mashnut has 6.33 which is nuts considering he has over 700 reviews.

Mashie's really around 6.75 total thumbs/review, which is pretty high considering he bags and reviews all kinds of "meh" courses, and doesn't cherry pick to the extent that I do when he leaves home. Let's face it, reviews for better/more popular courses generate more interest - it's a fact of DGCR life.

Check out Mashie's TR Stats Spreadsheet... the cool kids are getting upwards of double digit thumbs /review.

I'm second worst out of the 58 golds in terms of thumbs/review... I like to think I'm cool, but no one cares about my reviews of courses in Europe. :D

I don't think I'm one of the cool kids, then... +307, -7 on 81 reviews. I'm figuring I'll have to pass 100 reviews before I can reach Gold. :(
