[Discraft] Discraft Punisher

Have you Punisher throwers thrown a Shryke? Any similarity or totally different?

From the numbers, a shryke would be closer to a Thrasher than a Punisher.

Punisher seems to be a beat-in Force. Or as was said earlier, a big brother to the Crank.

If anyone can confirm , that would be great. Im going to get a few of these after my rehab from injury.

If you can get a Force to stand up or turn this disc will bomb. If a Force fades right out of your hand (like me) its just another over-stable driver. A bit longer than my Undertakers.

I can throw a Thrasher or X Crank around 400' for comparison.

I agree, for me BH the Punisher is just another over stable drive that I don't get great distance on. FH though i can see the potential of this disc and I bag it for hyzer FH. There are other disc that can fill the hyzer FH roll but my Punisher (only have 1 only thrown 1) is really flat and feel great in my FH grip.

Had a chance to throw one tonight. I threw it and a pro buddy threw it. For me it was more stable than my cranks and will be a nice compliment, for my buddy it was flip to flat and glide with a nice gentle fade. He liked it more than I did for straight distance potential.

I haven't thrown it yet but I just got one in the mail. Light blue, 168. As far as shape and feel, I would say that it is more modeled after the Thrasher than the Crank but with a higher PLH than my Cranks.

Mine seems to throw just like a surge....but I'm just now getting to the point where my arm speed can actually get either of those discs to do something, so I'm sure it'll change a bit as my consistency gets better

I'm loving this disc! I have a 164 grams first run orange Punisher. It goes farther and has a little less fade then my beat in 169 gram Z Avenger. I have a noodle arm, so I am using it for windy days, flex shots and when I need something to go straight and then fade. It's less stable than the Machete and a much better fit for me. Goes great with the Thrashers and Undertakers. Especially now that the Avengers are going OOP.

I got a Punisher from the Brewster Ridge Open. It is the first hot stamp of the Punisher. It flies like a PD but longer. I had my throws go about 360-380. It is almost dead straight with a slight turn if any at all.

loving this disc for fh distance shots. get just enough turn for it to get distance but not enough to worry that it is not coming back with a decently hard finish. powers down get great for fh hyzers and skip shots.

Punisher is a neat mold. I am a long time Force thrower, and carry 5 or 6 of them. I have long rooted for a Force SS of sorts, and was hoping that the Crank would be that. To an extent, they are, but the rim width (wider, I think) and height (shorter) seem to throw off my release point slightly. I also love the Thrasher, which shares similar dimensions to the Punisher.
My take on the new mold based on 3 First Run Z Puns, (2 max weight, 1 170) is that they are less HSS than a Force, but with near equal LSS. Focus is to Challenger what Punisher is to Force, so to speak. Mine are also very flat, and don't have a ton of glide. They are very nice for both BH and FH. I eagerly await them in ESP, and hope they have a bit more dome.

Apparently no plans to release them in ESP, even though ESP is listed as an option in the 2017 catalog... Better grab the ESP glow while they're available.
Woops... for some reason I had the Undertaker on my mind.. not sure about Punisher.

Cfair is 100% correct I paired hurricanes and forces for years! Proline hurricanes start stable/OS and beat in nicely. DGA proline is such an underrated plastic and wears in nicely compared to Z/SP. Check them out, I threw max weight for all my hurricanes but my buddy threw down into the 165-168 range and the flight pattern was very similar a bit more turn and glide with the lighter weights.

The hurricane would fit the force SS slot but I am getting more distance out of the punisher which could be considered a crank OS.

DGA makes good stuff. I have bagged the hurricane and am currently bagging the quake but if you are picky about weight/color/plastic, Discraft has much higher production.

I messed with the Hurricane/Force combo for a bit before going to the Nuke/Nuke OS. I could never flip up my Hurricanes, but I have heard the Baldwin signature SPs I have are on the beefy side. Probably should have gone with proline.

I agree with some others on here and would bet the Surge is on its way out, but the Punisher seems like an upgrade (like the Tracker to the Undertaker). The numbers on the Punisher are nearly identical to the Surge and they both share the same abrupt curl at the base of the wing. The Punisher just has the flat shelf where the wing meets the rim (like a Thunderbird).

I finally got to throw a Punisher. I echo the Surge flight with a Force fade. As a Surge thrower for all things distance driver since the mold was released, I am going to be angry if there is not an ESP Punisher before they discontinue the Surge. Hopefully the fade beats out of the Punisher before the stability.

Not an upgrade in my opinion but I am a Surge homer through and through.

Ugh, I can feel my wallet getting lighter having to stock up on Surges and Surge SS's.
