The Inevitable 2018 Pros Switching Sponsors Thread

Just like all those Prodigy pros of a few years ago.
They too found the perfect discs for their games and made excited videos.
At tournaments, they would dance around with their Prodigy brethren, chest bumping and high-fives.
And like that. . . . . . POOF. . . . they were gone.

My previous comments were a critique of the "I just signed, yet let me tell you what discs you should buy" video genre not me staking ground as a brand puppet.

My bag is 1/2 Innova and 1/2 Triology with 2 FDs and one Discraft Ace Race disc. I just bought DD backpack straps to add to my Innova disc bag. I listened to DGAM while cooking breakfast this morning.

That said, I do get tired of the DD tag lines -- grow the sport, be dynamic -- but it's not a complaint that keeps me from buying their discs or watching their YouTube videos. If I were to stake ground, it would this: brands are gross.

Clearly, I'm not spending enough time readings tags and watching promotional vids. Probably cause I hate marketing.

DD, by my reckoning, is one of the fastest growing companies out there. Note, I only play one of their discs, i.e., I'm not a fan boy... yet. They're doing something right, like it or not.

Didn't DD have the "triple stamp a double stamp" commercial? That was gold!

If you have ever watched a Dynamic Disc vids or watched the Glass Blown Open vids, you have seem him on those... He also hosts the disc golf answer man podcast or vlog or whatever it is...

Who are the guys in that video? The guy in red strikes me as very familiar but cant place him..

Eric 2010 dg world champion Mccabe and Bobby cool daddy slick breeze Brown. Both are heavily involved with day jobs of promoting Dynamic Discs, and apparently moonlighting on the Disc stamping machines. In my view, they should definitely not quit their day jobs. :p

I agree, their ads are a amusing, and I hate ads.

I have a pretty good idea for a new DD commercial. Eric and Bobby are sitting in front of a white board with names for new discs. There would be a column of approved names like "Sheriff" "Judge" "Gavel" "Tresspass" etc.. and a column of rejects they are working on with stuff like "Misdemeanor" "Bench" "Shank". They would be bouncing name ideas off each other that are blantantly bad like "Lawyer", "Recess", "Truancy Officer", "Red Tape", "Loitering", "Jail Bait", "Parking Ticket". They would be enthusiastic about each idea but then cringe after thinking about it.

I think it's a good idea.

Actually I see "Lawyer" happening in the future. A utility disc marketed for "when you need to get out of trouble"
