Curious as to why? I don't play DD but always wonder at animosity towards the brand's. Innova haters, Lat haters etc.

Just an opinion but it's very cult-ish. I can't stand their ads. They seem so cheap and gimmicky. Their naming strategy for their discs is odd. Also, they don't even produce their discs...
This ad literally makes me cringe the second it starts :wall:

Well you know what they say about opinions and... Some of their ads are kinda cheesy but they got some funny ones too. "I think I'm in love", "Two minutes" and "Employee of the month" were all pretty good...
DD is cult-ish? We talking something like them gyro fainbois? (Got nothing against them, heck, the Envy is my favorite Disc). I personally Find the implication kind of strange. I get the Disc naming, and if you actually care about that kind of thing then I can see it being annoying. I don't really care for nomenclature, or stamps, just how discs feel and fly. I don't find anything cheap, though. Names and ads may be gimmicky, sure. To each their own.
I throw a mixed bag, but most are DD, but not cuz I'm part of a cult.. I like their plastic. I find their lucid to actually have grip and that's nice. Great molds too. My $0.02.
As for Drew moving on, if he has a relationship with Rico, the switch makes sense. And good for him. I hope he has success cuz he is fun to watch and he seems like a cool dude, and he can bomb! (Legacy has some great molds and plastic as well!)

I think they meant brand following in general is cult-ish. I throw mixed Innova blanket brands because it's what I started out with. More brands especially Trilogy stuff came about when I was reaching my stride so I decided to stay with what I was used to for the time being. Plus I remove stamps and Innova's are the easiest. I feel a little cult-ish with it at times.
While I've never really understood the desire to be "loyal" to one brand unless they're paying (sponsoring) you to do so, the notion of "hating" any particular brand is even more baffling to me. Maybe the term just gets overused to the point that it's now meaningless, but I can't imagine why anyone would hate a brand, especially if they have no direct/personal interaction with it.
If you don't click with a disc or even a line of discs, fine. Just don't throw them and move on with your life. No sense in getting hostile about it or even focusing on it for a second.

I feel the same way. I throw mostly DD, but have some Legacy, Lat, and Westside in my bag. I don't throw them because I have any allegiance to them, I throw them because i don't like having to beat in Innova or Discraft before they are usable for me. I don't hate any other brands though, its just personal preference.
