Agreed. I'm not in any board meetings with these tours, but the scarce conversations I've had with them regarding video coverage always came across as them trying to get something for nothing, or for the absolute minimum.
As a cinematographer buddy of mine is fond of saying, "Pay peanuts, get monkeys". Everyone wants you to work on the basis of them trickling down profits to you later (for more work).
[Soapbox] Disc Golf businesses won't start evolving until they make audience reaction to their content a higher priority. I think too often it's just "what do we think is cool?" or "who can we beg a favor from?" instead of thinking about how their messages come across. [/Soapbox]
