DGPT: 2019 Memorial Championship

Between the buffering and the nauseating camerawork holy crap they have a lot of kinks to work out. Poor Nate and Val...doesn't look like there's any filler footage for these awkward pauses in the action. Nate and Val are definitely doing the best they can though...

And using a bed sheet for a backdrop behind your commentators? smh

beat me to it sir.

This has shades of Disc Golf Planet all over it, particularly the lagging. Shouldn't be surprised as they're using the same type of equipment as DGP did (which I understand is NOT what Smashboxx uses).

Lots of bugs to work out, but that's not unexpected. As long as Sunday is significantly better than today, they should be on the right track.

If this is the best they can do for a live feed just outside of one of the bigger cities in the USA what is the coverage going to be like at Ledgestone? Eureka is not a very large town and I do not recall having great cell service while spectating there...

I used to think live coverage was the only way to go, but Jomez and CCDG have elevated the post-produced content to dizzying heights in a very short time. It's jarring & disappointing to regress to this level of live coverage for such a big event. Here's hoping the DGPT post videos kick it up a notch.

Well, Steve Dodge is going to get loads of criticism for this. And he deserves it. He's the one that said he's going to do "more with less" and provide "better coverage."

Might want to get that fixed soon or he's got some crow to eat.

Nate and Val deserve MUCH better than this. Sheez. I sure hope they're getting paid well.

Dodge should have just went all in on making the post round stuff good instead of trying to do both...dg live coverage is still laughable at this point.

This is the past fifteen minutes or so. Just pretend the little circle in the middle is twirling.

Last year went really smoothly, and they had a really nice delivery by the end of the season. Turns out you can't substitute for experience, after all.

I'm not surprised (because it's a Steve Dodge project) but I'm still disappointed. At least make it look like you put in effort to test your systems to make sure you can deliver the product you promised. I think they put more time into writing their "Media Coverage Plan" than they did actually trying to implement it properly.
