Silver Series: 2022 Music City Open Apr 1-3

This will be only DGPT event I will be able to attend this year. Looking forward to it, even though lots of big names won't be there (Paul, Ricky, Eagle, Calvin). It will be exciting to seeing the Europeans play!

Is this being played on a new course - different from last year? I can't seem to find information on Mill Ridge. Curious if it is an open or wooded course. Judging from the Caddy Book, it looks to be an open park like setting.

Browsing through UDisc course tools, it looks like it's 90% the same Mill Ridge layout as last year, but not identical.

Thanks - I was getting confused because it looks like they used Cedar Hill for the first two rounds last year.

Looks like Henna found her putt and game. . .Eveliinas putt is still . .bad

I dont get it why Henna and Evelina are having a tough go of it here while Kristen is just crushing it. I thought that Henna and Evelina were about on the same level as Kristen but it seems like they might not be as good as once thought or maybe its just tough to play in the states for them. Who knows.

For Eveliina her putt is the problem, of the tee shes the best in the world. . .her stats are so strange. . 1st in many stats. but last in putting. .

And for Henna it feels like she tryed TO hard the first tournaments in the US but looks like she found her play inte the last few rounds she played

When it was suggested that they would crush when coming over, I was hesitant. I speculated that the grind of a pro tour is a skill and an obstacle to overcome. Facing the travel, extreme competition and week to week grind is a lot. Setting goals, settling into a routine, maintaining mental and physical health... I am sure the three of them have some kind of European tour, that puts them under this process, but I think it is magnified here on the US tours. Kristin has Silver to share this with and seems better equipped to adapt. We have to see how this all plays out.

Also, no Val Mandujano. Grip6 still has her has a valid option but she isnt showing on the scores or pdga anywhere.

Hole #1...an ace with an 8 high on the day. Island hole?

Short downhill, elevated basket, tight OB. Don't know how anyone would get an 8 on the hole except just a boatload of missed putts.

4 C1 putts and 3 OBs. I'm gonna guess OB off the tee, missed C1 putt to roll OB, missed C1 putt to roll OB, missed putt but stay IB, made putt.

I know you know this, but Henna has a handful of hot rounds this year and several other rounds there were just a blow up hole or stetch of a couple of holes from being at the top. It is just a matter of time before she puts it all together and wins, or at least stays on lead card all weekend and podiums amongst all the top names.

If anyone is wondering why there is such a wide range of scores for hole #1...very tight gap (with a tree in the middle of it) for the tee shot with OB along the right side of the fairway.

It is basically playing at even par for the MPO. This is the definition of an "all or nothing" hole.
(these are the MPO stats for round 1. The FPO stats have a lot less birdies and way more bogeys, doubles & triples plus.

Probably gonna come across as a bit harsh, but I think some of it is inexperience based on age. Competition is way deeper than what they're used to.

Or more likely, way easier to get away with a bad round when the competition isn't as deep.

A few years ago everybody was saying Eagle would blow everybody away if he'd get the young dumb aggressiveness out of the way and eventually he mellowed out and got more consistent.

I think Kristin is just further along that curve than the other two.

All that green is missing, so it is significantly more open. And I'm guessing the most common MPO play is a RHFH chip shot to the left/over top of everything.

I don't think it's harsh at all. We've been hearing for years how those two would come here and crush it...and they really have underperformed. It's still the Paige, Cat and Kristin show in FPO and I don't see that changing.

I'd also still say Eagle has work to do.
