Yo! Mid Atlantic, Anybody get a round in before the BLIZZARD of 2010?

The NOVA club is trying generate interest for a course in Fort Reno Park, they held an event there with temp baskets last year.

I am waiting for the snow to hit over 2 feet, then I'll try to get over to Bluemont and take pics.

Im approaching 30 inches and another 8 hrs of snow on the way! OMG snowpocalypse!!!

Considered going to Bluemont to take some pics until I realized how wet and heavy the snow is. Shoveled for an hour and a half clearing the front door steps and one path around the car in the driveway. Two more inches fell while I was shoveling so I didn't even bother cleaning off the car. May try to shovel some more before sunset but I doubt I'll even get the driveway done out to the street.

Right now it's twenty two inches deep in my back yard with six or seven more hours of snow expected.

Cleaned off the bird feeder and took this pic of the practice basket. Basket is somewhat protected by the shed and the trees so there is only a foot to 15 inches of snow around it.

I just took this picture in the front yard. I hope to play a few holes today around the house. Should be interesting!

Couldn't get out in time, another disc golf weekend ruined. Hey G Bud, how were the teepads in the snow/wet? They look like they could get real slick in wet conditions.

The ones on the Northern 9 are mainly in the open so they were pretty much all clear & dry. Though as ravenous as some of us are about this course, it wouldn't surprise me if someone had cleared them earlier in the week. :hfive: Especially since it didn't seem like anybody had been on the Southern 9 except some dog walkers and most pads were still snow covered. Overall, the teepads hold up very well in most conditions. Have never known them to be slick in wet conditions.

The snow is stopping and I just measured 28 inches on my deck here in Lancaster pa. There will be no disc golfing for here for awhile...what a shame.

Here's some pics

Can't call these before and after as it is still coming down @ 1:30 Saturday afternoon. So these are before and 24 hours later. I believe we have a few more hours until the afters are in. Looks like shoveling by moonlight tonight. :gross:

Check out the cable flags. Put them there to help with shoveling lines and to mark downspouts. They also aid in keeping track of how deep things are getting. Knee deep to get the basket pic and dang near dropped my phone.

Finding I suck at Wii DG but am the bomb at Wii BG. -6 on the classic course on Wii Resort last night. Be safe people!! ;)

Rest of pics

Cable flags are about 20" and most are stuck in the previous few inches we got. Most flags will probably be under snow in the next hour or so. Gotta Love It!! ;)
