How many US states have you played? What’s your next state to cross off?

As of 9-DEC-2023, I stand at 214 total, including extinct courses.
As for states, DGCR has me at 22, which is technically true, but I don't really like to count a state unless I play at least three in a single state.
...Anyway...

78 - PA
48 - NJ (home)
11- MD
8 - CT
7 - IN, NY
6 - DE, TX
5 - KY, VA
4 - MA, NH, WV
3 - ME, OH, TN, VT
2 - AL, AR, IL, LA
1 - MS

Which state will I cross off next? I feel like I should have visited Rhode Island by now, so maybe I'll head back into New England soon. Either there or North Carolina via the DelMarVa peninsula. 2024 will be another good year for disc golf...!

Listed in order of attainment. Nevada should be getting crossed of Tuesday. Work trip.

Wisconsin - 48 - old home
Indiana - 12 - old home
Florida - 120 - old home
Texas - 49 - old home
Alabama - 139 - home
California - 2
Georgia - 69
Kentucky - 14
Tennessee - 96
Illinois - 14
Mississippi - 12
Arkansas - 5
Louisiana - 3
Virginia - 1
North Carolina - 16
South Carolina - 5
England - 1
Scotland - 1
Ohio - 1
Missouri - 3
Michigan - 12
Washington - 11
British Columbia - 5
Oregon - 4

Well, what's on the wish list?

I will be sure to update my states played, or "plans" once the plans become solidified.

Right now priority would be getting back to MA to play Maple Hill again. Once is not enough for that course. With family in the area, I would rather just stay in place for a week and play there and maybe Pyramids.

After a day trip to bag a few 18-holes south of St. Louis this weekend, I'm at 146 courses across 8 states:

Illinois - 64
Indiana - 2
Iowa - 11
Kentucky - 3
Michigan - 2
Missouri - 54
Ohio - 1
Wisconsin - 9

My next state will likely be Vermont, as a trip to see friends up there is a priority for '24 and they're too close to Brewster not to play it. Kansas will likely get checked off in the next year or two. Texas may be on the radar as well as my wife is interested in a family trip down there. If Disneyworld put a course on property, that would certainly get Florida checked off for me as well.

California - 10
Georgia - 1
Illannoy - 132 (home state)
Indiana - 15
Iowa - 2
Kentucky - 5
Massachusetts - 1
Michigan - 16
Mississippi - 1
Missouri - 4
Nevada - 2
New Jersey - 1
New York - 1
Ohio - 3
Rhode Island - 1
Wisconsin - 12

Decent chance I get Tennessee over the holidays. Visiting my sister in southern Illinois and that puts us fairly close to my aunt and uncle in central Tennessee.
My only experience with Tennessee was short lived passing through by car, but it was so surreal driving through with fog off descended off the Smokey Mountains

As far as next state? not sure. No plans at the moment. I got SD, MN and IA added this year on one trip.
Most memorable state so far? It seems you have played MN already, having one course, was that a popular course like BRP? EDIT: my tired eyes read that you had MN on the wish list.

Oh, I should have mentioned. I have been to all 50 states. I really wish I had taken some discs with me when I went to Alaska. There was a course in Juno I could have tried to hit. That was over 15 years ago.
I'm starting to get that feeling whenever I don't have my camera with me on trips I wasn't sure if I wanted to bring it along.

I tried to play in Kearney Cottonmill, Nebraska in knee deep snow. After 3 holes was getting wet, with snow melt and sweat, hot up top and cold below knees, and tired. Looked for 4th tee, seemed to be across a small arm of water on map, which just looked like snow. no idea where shores were, how far to walk to clear the end of the water, so saw no way to finish. went back beaten. I don't claim to have bagged Kearney, but i do say i have played dg in Nebraska! That would be 25

We're planning a NY trip this spring. I wanted to get NY in Oct when I played the states i have up that way, but wasn't able then. Ohio is also on my radar. A hole in map of states played in.
I lived in FL 4 yrs before i played dg, want to get there too.
Well, safe travels when they arrive! Can relate with the incomplete round at Kearney. Sometimes it's just better to know when to walk away, hopefully you get another chance one day.
