I was out playing some rounds of disc with a guy I had met out there and I was telling him how i use the climo grip to throw my drives and he asked me if I knew that Climo had died now is that true or does he just not know what hes talking about?

Trust me, If he had... this thread would not be the first we had heard about it. ;)

Yes... Cleemo is dead... the cause of death was old age. Let's have a moment of silence for Kenny.

Now I'm off to Squirrel Lake today for an early round cause that's what Kenny would want.

I saw him Friday and he didn't look dead. In fact, he won our tourney this weekend to prove he is alive...

The "correct" pronunciation (I was informed) is Climb-o. I agree it sounds wrong. This coming from people who know him well.

I honestly don't have a clue to the pronunciation, so I will take your word from knowing those "people who know him well".

Thanks for the response... I sound foolish often enough... I don't need to prove it every time I speak.

Back when I sold discs I was always entertained when somebody brought a friend who had never played in to buy discs because 90% of the time the "experienced" friend had no clue what they were talking about and gave crappy advice. "You need one of these here Vipers. Look at that bad-ass snake."

When the KC Pro discs first came out it was funny to listen to those guys recommend them. "You should get you one of these here Ken Klee-mo discs. He's an 7-time champion, you know? He's good." They would try to sound like they knew all about him while they mispronounced his name.
