My buddy, TheLyonsKing, got a cubby ace on number 22 (Old 18) at Glenn Hilton in Hickory, NC. It was a thumber with a Beast that had the line right when it left his hand. The thing hit so hard I was surprised it stayed in.

...I birdied the hole...

Aced hole #10 at Johnson Street from the blue tees last Tuesday. Threw it dead straight down an 8 foot tunnel probably 175-200 feet. Super lucky shot but I was stoked nonetheless! My buddy and I happened to be playing through a Discraft sponsored kid, Andrew Coggin, on that hole too!

Nailed my first ace at Sedgley Woods in Philly today on hole 11 from the yellow tees (280) with my CFR Champ Wraith, that I ironically bought at Sedgley. My buddy and I went crazy, and I'm having a great Cuban cigar at the moment to celebrate! Still fired up about it :D

I aced #9 Short at Maxwell Park today. 221 feet skip ace with a 168g Opto XXX. It's my first ace and I was so stoked.

Sorry for the double post, I can't figure out how to edit.

I literally ran to the basket and back twice, after I stopped yelling and screaming, and took the disc out and ran to my car as fast as I could so I could tell my friends. It was so surreal and awesome.

Landed my first ace today. #17 at my home course, Flat Rock Park in Columbus, GA. 250ish UPhill shot with shule(schule?) guarding the direct approach. My preferred shot is leo or river thrown left for hopefully a nice turn catching the slope just short of the basket to slide in for the short putt. Today I opted for the river, thrown hard on a line to the left. Trajectory was slightly higher then I generally intend to throw, but got the turn I was looking for. Watching the flight I thought I'd overthrown it(happens sometimes), but just as it was trying to fight out of the turn(the river never really wins that fight), effectively softening the landing, it hit the chains nice and soft and dropped in.

Unfortunately, was playing solo(with my dog), but a guy on an adjacent hole watched the whole thing and gave me some props.

Sweet feeling, I'm ready for more :)

To Ace or not to Ace.....

Sometimes I find myself having to play alone because of my main playing buddy's work schedule. I hate when I have a great throw and no one is there to see it. I have been playing about 9 months and have yet to get an ace. My question is this: If I get an ace and no one witnesses it, can I say that I have an ace?

yes, If it is your first throw it is an ace. However, you can not count your first ace because you started an "Is this an ace" thread :p (- 1 ace)

Can I count it:
If it bounces in (yes)
If it is wedged in the basket (no, not any more)
If it falls through the top (no)
If there are no witnesses (yes)
If it is a practice shot or a "redo" (no)
If it is in the chains but not touching the basket (yes)
If it goes in, but some one's dog steals it (yes)
If it does not go in, but a raccoon takes it into the basket to chew on (no)
If the hole is only 30 feet *cough BIGNIK :p (yes)
If it goes into the shorts, but you are playing the longs (no, black ace)
If it is the 5th friday of the month and you are wearing neon shorts (only if you are VeganRay, otherwise, why are you wearing neon shorts?)

I would count it if nobody was there! It would take a little bit of the excitement away from it though. Go to Armco-White Course and Ace that new hole they put on top of the hill!!! Haha, that is one short straight hole!

Barkbuster...

Believe me I have tried. But the closest to an ace that I have been is on #14 on the white course. I got a piece of the basket. But I know that my day will come when I get an ace. I just hope it is during a tourney or that one of my friends witnesses it.

I do not have a true ace yet. I have 2 target aces (target aces is when the course uses a tone pole or target instead of a basket, such as darnestown) and 1 ace that was on a temporary practice course, but in a "how many aces do you have" thread I still have to say 0.

Yes, but no one will believe you.

Why not count target aces? You would still card a 1.

They were on a temp course, If I listed the course and it was open to the public, like darnestown, I would be tempted to count it. Now that I think about it even one of those was a cubby ace.
