Throwing in headwinds?

Just asking what disc you like to throw in headwinds?:\

My normal disc at a hyzer angle which increases with the velocity of the wind.

Something stable to overstable.

Try a search for more info. But to answer your question, for a straight shot into a straight on headwind I usually throw an Illusion.

Depending on the strength of the headwind, I'll throw a Crush in a moderate headwind and in a strong headwind I use a Predator for straight distances. Depending on the line I need, I might even use a Avenger SS too. All depends on the shot.

I'll throw Orcs on a hyzer for moderate wind. Night shift Orcs for slightly more wind. TeeRex Xs for slightly more wind. And really heavy wind gets an Excalibur on a hyzer line.

The most overstable disc I throw is an ESP Nuke. I typically throw the Z Nuke into the wind. I have a specialty Surge in the bag for 100mph or more winds. It's flatter than a Z Flick and twice as overstable. It weighs 168g and is a freak of nature.

I just found a Orion LF in a pond on the course, and the last hole we were throwing into a 15mph headwind, so I threw the LF and it did great. Fought the wind nicely.

If you can put enough force into the disc, I recommend Star Boss. The only disc I trust in high winds to get me the most bang for the buck.

Depending on how bad it is...

10mph and less only determines how much hyzer im gonna put on my 175 pro wraiths.

around 15, slightly beat max weight star destroyer on a hyzer..it bombs.

20 and up... probably either throwing an FL (pro firebird) on a hyzer or 11x fb.

and for upshots...

z buzzz withstands most wind (with added hyzer)...past 15 id throw my wasp.

Champ Teebird or Firebird depending upon windspeed. If it's Brandywine windy then maybe the Monster.
