Ok I know a lot of you play no matter what, but thats not me. I prefer to have really good conditions outside before I partake in disc golf. I do not like snow (cold weather in general), Rain, muddy courses, or really windy days. Lust my own personal preference.

Now with all of that said I have really been going through some serious disc golf withdrawals.

Anyone else feel the same way. I'm from Ohio where it has been snowy one day then flooded the next. I am sure the wind will follow. Makes it impossible to throw a good shot.

Perfect days are too few. Ya gotta take what you can get.

Yeah I try to make it out as much as I can, but those days I mentioned make it very difficult to enjoy playing. I figure if I am more frustrated about elements I have no control over I may as well avoid them for better conditions.

I agree that a muddy wet course does suck indeed but I still play in it. I'd rather play in knee high snow before a flooded course.

I played all winter, but the nicer weather and longer days definitely make me want to get out and play a whole lot more.

Yeah I did that this year and lost my best disc. I think it disappeared. Now another bad thing with the snow/ice is your footing. I was so unsure of my footing it made my overall shot horrible.

crappy weather wouldve done wonders for my knee. consider yourself lucky.

nah nevermind. socal golf weather rules.:p

I should just go out disc golfing either way since I am such a fat butt. 389# I need to lose that crap. Disc golf score would not matter if I am dropping weight.

I just ended a three day DG streak today. First time I've played three days in a row since October and it might have been four if we didn't have 35-40mph gusts today. High wind/heavy rain are about the only things that stop me. Been playin all Winter. :)

Thank goodness for DST!!!!!!! Tomorrow it won't get dark until 7:30ish and I'm making the 100 mile trip to Flip City for the first time since September. :D

Yesterday was the first day I hadn't played in about 11-12 days, but of course I played a round today and did about an hour of field work.

I am jealous. I would love to make a trip to flip. I know I am an Ohio State fan and that Course is in Michigan, but I have grown to love disc golfing. that is enough for me to set my differences a side. Besides I play in the enemies backyard all of the time. I went to McKinley and play disc golf at Massillon from time to time. Look up McKinley -vs- Massilion sometime. I am pretty sure it is the BIGGEST HS football rivalry.

Oh wait I found a link to a respectable website that agrees with me.

Oh boy....Wolverines for life over here! Ohio State kicked our butts today in the Big Ten tourney (as they should have), but I love how we beat MSU both regular season games. :D

But definitely do yourself a favor and hit up Flip City soon. There are four 24-hole courses in Ludington that are nice too. Northern Michigan is a beautiful place to visit, just don't move here. :p

Jealous of everyone who gets to play year round. Still have quite a bit of snow on the ground. Usually stays until at least April 1, then it's nasty and sloppy and wet for a while. I'm getting so antsy to simply see a teepad that it hurts

That being said, have been trying to get out and snow golf. Like a previous poster, I also lost my favorite disc in the snow. Faded behind a tree and I couldn't find it. Bummer. Footing is also terrible, I find I turn everything into an anny shot

Snow = lame

Well at least I no longer think I am the only one that just feels disc golfing in that type of weather or surroundings is crazy.

I see you are living in MN. I know that has to be a lot worse then Ohio.

Playing in winter makes you a better player in summer.

Snow restricts your movements, an you have do do more with less.

You actually find that you do more with less.

But we seem to forget these lessons when we can get the footing for full power...

Very true. When I start throwing this winter I had to make some huge improvises.

I pretty much always have the fever for disc golf. But I do get a bit more excited in the spring when the weather does cooperate a bit more.
