How stiff does everyone like their putters...I have been trying out different stuff and was just curious as to what every one else thought...

like a board?
or
fold it up and put it in your pocket?

personally i used to use softer putters but right now i am putting with FLX challengers...

I prefer stiff but gave up a lil stiffness for grippyness. The pair of challengers would without question still be considered stiff, just not the stiffest of my collection.

pretty firm, but not slick and dinner plate kind of firm.

I seriously dislike soft, floppy putters. Can't get a clean finger spring release on them. People who putt with a Spin style tend to like soft putters in my area.

I am just loving the "Soft" Gateway plastics. The plastic is very durable and somewhat stiff, but is nice and tacky and seems to get better with age, but the discs seem to hold their mold better than any other soft plastics I have worked with. The Organic Gateway plastic is slightly more tacky, but shows signs that it will break down a little faster than the normal soft plastic.

I use an organic wiz and love it. Gotta feel good, not too stiff not too floppy. But grip is my biggest want

I want the rim of my Wizard to be pretty stiff but I need some give in the flight plate for my thumb to dig in. The surface texture is really important too. None of the new Wizards have been right.

yeah r-pro is SUPER gummy and soft from what i have seen... i had an r-pro aviar and i didn't like it at all... WAY to floppy... i felt like i was holding one of those old nerf U.F.O's

I like a nice gummy HPP Voodoo for putting, and a tacky and fairly stiff SSS Voodoo for approaches and long putts.

^^^ I just picked up two wizards the other day that fit this description to a tee. Trying them out to see if they will replace my Voodoos.

noob moment... what is "spin style"

"Spin style" is also known as spin putting. Its the traditional putting style that most people use where there's a wrist flick and a lot of elbow and arm motion which makes the disc spin coming out of your hand towards the basket. Think Nate Doss.

The opposite is a "push putt" "lob putt" or "pitch putt" as its variously called where the arm is usually locked in either a straight or bent position and the disc is "pitched" like an underhand throw almost with very little spin. Think Nikko, Climo, Feldberg.

Typically, you need a stiffer putter to be able to push putt effectively though I am using a Yeti for that style and its a bit softer than what I might traditionally use.

i like them fairly stiff, i was having trouble finding one that was grippy and stiff enough. luckily the yeti has answered the call
