Opinion: Pay to Play is Not a Con

When they start refunding my some of my property taxes and other taxes I pay as a home owner that help pay for upkeep of the courses around me (since almost every one of them is a park district course people are already P2P) then I'll pay 5 or 10 bucks to frolf for the day. As for the rest of...

    Zero Masks, Zero Social Distancing...

Maybe folks like you should stop commenting on EVERYTHING and trying to throw around your supposed medical expertise and these effin political posts will die. If not I would like a way to delete my account here. I came for disc golf, not name calling, trolling or politics. Save that sh*t for...

Perhaps you should take your discussion of this subject to another site.

Central Coast Disc Golf - CCDG vids

And here I was thinking all this race talk sh*t was left back on facebook or some other SJW site. Silly me! What's next? Political debates?

Every course is a pay to play...

    I get this!

Every course is a pay to play...

Even on courses where you don't pay "at the door" to play, like most of the courses in my state, you still are paying to play. Most courses in my area are kept up by park districts. Where do the park districts get their money in the budget to upkeep courses and other parks, playgrounds etc...

    Movement in top 10

Flip City in Shelby Mi. is overrated imho.

    2019 European Open

I agree that those regular golf courses suck for disc golf. DeLa is great to watch until they hit that golf course part.

    Courses on Military Bases

Surprised Fort Lost in the Woods, Mo. (Ft. Leonard Wood) doesn't have a course somewhere. It's where I took my basic and some AIT back in the 70's and it's not nicknamed that for no reason :)

    2019 European Open

I've also seen some spoilers here on DGCR when some would talk about how so and so is playing, who has such and such a stroke lead, etc. I find that when a tournament is coming up that I want to see some of I just avoid some forum threads completely until I have watched the tournament.

    2019 European Open

I learned the hard way to stay away from DG social media when I want to watch post produced/edited rounds from tournaments I am interested in seeing. Had a couple of tournaments ruined by the inevitable *spoilers* getting posted in the past. Not this year ;)

    2019 European Open

You mean like her 20+ over par for 2 rounds? I tried to watch some of the FPO cards at European Open but had to give it up. Perkins does not make for a good commentary guy (Koling and Sexton make the best commentary on any video channel for disc golf imho) and the scores were just too bad. Only...

    The Revolving Door

Don't think I will be heading downtown anytime soon to do this.

Cornhole on ESPN 2 this afternoon....Where has disc golf gone wrong?

Tried watching this on television once and was incredibly bored with the whole thing within 5 minutes. Beer drinkers who do nothing but play this bags game constantly and hit the hole almost every throw. About as exciting as watching darts on television where everyone just pounds the triple 20...

    Competition

Have owned his book for many years. It's called The Wrong Stuff. His career could have lasted longer but he was a non-conformist in a era when it was definitely not tolerated to go against convention.
