Review by ClockRoach in course Kerr Park

3.50 star(s) A Gorgeous Local Course The course is gorgeous. Most of it runs alongside a very scenic river, and you get to cross over and under a number of bridges as you play. Signage is excellent, and seems upgraded since previous reviews. Every tee has a sign, every basket has a next tee directional...

Review by ClockRoach in course West Wetlands Park

1.50 star(s) It's definitely a course There's nine baskets and almost nine tee markers. They keep the grass mowed. Almost everything else. It looks like they built a new playground relatively recently that required them to move a couple of the holes. Thus, the course map on site is completely wrong and...

    Upper Park Designs Backpack Bags

The shift has a fair amount of storage space. It's just hidden below the interior discs behind a relatively small opening. If you only use the outside pockets you've got eight discs and tons of storage in the main area. You can go to ten discs with the top interior rack and still not really eat...

    Thoughts on simple private course

Here's the important question: Are you supposed to ride the slip n slide from 13 to 14, or does it go the other way? I can't tell if the pond is in the bottom of a bowl or if the slide is on a berm around the outside of it.

Review by ClockRoach in course Riverhead Field - Blue/White

3.50 star(s) Island Golf 36 baskets and 54 tees. Blue and white share baskets but use different approaches, while red is a completely separate course. Red leans more strongly toward technical, wooded holes. There's a good variety of holes. Most of the course is wooded, some of the holes heavily, but there's...

Review by ClockRoach in course The Fox @ Coyner Springs

3.50 star(s) A very tight 9 holes Signage is excellent and navigation is a piece of cake. Fairways are tight, sometimes very tight, with some interesting doglegs. Several holes have interesting elevation changes. The baskets are all brand new and in great shape. Tee pads are a diamond-plate plastic which are...

Locked disc drop off box Golden Gate park, holding time?

Installing disc lock boxes on random courses actually sounds like a great evil way to get some slightly used plastic!

    Snakes on the course!

That probably is a water moccasin (aka cottonmouth). The best rule of thumb for North American snakes is to look at their jaw. If they've got a jaw that's much wider than their neck, like that one, beware. If their jaw and neck are perfectly smooth with no bulge, they're almost certainly safe...

    Resetting Reviews

For incremental course changes, maybe there should be some more changes to the review system. Allow replies or discussions for each review, so people can point out things that are no longer accurate. Instead of wiping old ratings, they could be weighted based on age, helpfulness, or reviewer...

Review by ClockRoach in course Greene Co. Community Park - Old Layout

3.00 star(s) A decent course that could be better Some of the holes are a lot of fun. There's a great variety between open holes, tight lines through trees, doglegs in both directions, and even a nice hill bomb on 17. When I went (late winter/very early spring), the conditions were great. The grass was well...

    Albatross at The Gentlemen's Classic!

Based on that and some quick measurements in Google Earth, it looks like the straight-line shot is closer to 700 ft. The 769 ft measurement must bend around the water hazards. From the video, I'd guess his first drive was around 450 ft and the hole shot was around 250. Plus a bit if you assume...

Post pics of your Disc Dog

This is Loki, our aussie/husky mix. There's a course co-located with a big dog park nearby, so he got to come play for the first time today. I had to race him to my drives a few times, but at least he's gentle with the discs he picks up.
